Every year I make a Christmas card with non traditional colors. My first was pink, but I do love the rustic browns.
It’s been an eventful last few days. A couple of days ago, a long lost friend got in touch with me. We had been looking for each other for nearly 30 years. We exchanged email and talked on the phone for the first time (and talked for an hour). It surely made my heart swell. We were attached at the hip from 6th grade through high school. Glad to have you back in my life, Vanessa!
Ok.. now my chocolate Christmas Card…
Super simple card. I used the new Craft Consortium Tartan paper. The new PEACE die was die cut twice and stacked to give it more dimension. I did the same with the snowflake. Then I did a little distressing.
Just to make things perfectly clear, I do not want SNOW. Though, yesterday it was in the 90s and today it’s cold an dreary at 57 degrees.
Today I’m sharing a couple things from the new Stockings & Mittens set from Stamp Simply. I am in love with these adorable mittens and squealed when I saw the stocking.
This is a must have set. It’s an inspiring set of stamps and there are dies!
I’m back with another new release from Stamp Simply. These fall colors just make me all warm inside. Fall is definitely my favorite season. I was born in the fall. I love the changing leaves, cool crisp mornings, and warm apple cider.
Can you believe it’s September 1st?! Not even four months til Christmas. Even at 4 months, I may never get Christmas cards done. Better start now! Have you started your cards/gifts for Christmas?
This week I’m sharing a couple of cards made with the new Autumn Silhouettes. Perfect for sympathy cards (which I need to many of these days)
I’m a little late today, but here I am! Crazy busy day here. One of those days where your phone rings constantly!
Today I’m sharing a simple birthday card. Lord knows I need several of them in the next few weeks. It nice to be able to use my Stamp Simply stamps and dies AND cover a birthday
I have always loved this series of stamps. Super easy to do a little fussy cutting and make your image POP.
I image some of you might be wondering where I’ve been. I didn’t fall off the face of the earth, but I’ve sure felt like I did. My physical health is struggling. Too much to even go into.
My mental health is also struggling, but that’s a side effect of the physical health. I’ve started swimming and that helps both physical and mental.
I have had this set for quite awhile and just now got to get it inky! I think it would be a nice invitation to have tea/coffee with a friend.
I made a little pocket for the inside to hold a gift card, or just leave the little tag.
First off, I want to say that just because I made a boy card, doesn’t mean our next grandchild is a boy. I was just tired of making baby girl cards.
Because of all the craziness around here, I needed a really quick card. Like 30 minutes … and it would have been quicker if i didn’t need a few minutes of dry time.
Why not let the pretty papers do the work for you! Many of the paper pads now have a page of sentiments, and such.
These super cute papers make it look like I did a lot of work, but I didn’t!
We’re having some real nice Spring weather, and with Spring comes graduations. We only have one graduate in the family this year, so I customized the card with the school colors. They just happen to be my favorite colors, too! What were your school colors? Mine were Blue and Gold (Go Eagles!}
I love using the Bazzill mirrored cardstock. It typically does not show well in pictures, but this time it worked out well.
Today I took a little poetic license and created a hybrid card, using 2 sets and their respective dies.
I was happy to get the idea that’s been floating in my head for a couple days now. My youngest son and his family moved to a bigger place. With three little girls, their previous apartment was cramped. I made this for them.
I took the books image from A Man of Knowledge and with a little snip snip, they become birdhouses.
I wish I had the grass die that I’ve been wanting for years. But, with a little pair of scissors can do the job, too!
It’s been a busy busy week and the only thing keeping me sane is creating. We are having a garage sale in June and I’m suppose to be sorting through stuff, but the minute I walk into the studio, I just want to make stuffs!
