~Chocolate Peace~

Every year I make a Christmas card with non traditional colors. My first was pink, but I do love the rustic browns.

It’s been an eventful last few days. A couple of days ago, a long lost friend got in touch with me. We had been looking for each other for nearly 30 years. We exchanged email and talked on the phone for the first time (and talked for an hour). It surely made my heart swell. We were attached at the hip from 6th grade through high school. Glad to have you back in my life, Vanessa!

Ok.. now my chocolate Christmas Card…

Super simple card. I used the new Craft Consortium Tartan paper. The new PEACE die was die cut twice and stacked to give it more dimension. I did the same with the snowflake. Then I did a little distressing.

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Snowflake Blessings
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Peace & Joy
Craft Consortium 6×6 – Tartan
Memento dye ink – Rich Cocoa

other:
3M dimensionals
Chocolate cardstock
Crumb Cake cardstock
Enamel Dots

Random snowflake die

~Bring on the Snow~

Just to make things perfectly clear, I do not want SNOW. Though, yesterday it was in the 90s and today it’s cold an dreary at 57 degrees.

Today I’m sharing a couple things from the new Stockings & Mittens set from Stamp Simply. I am in love with these adorable mittens and squealed when I saw the stocking.

First is my card. I had so much fun making this. So many options!
You could personalize this by adding names to the mitten tops.

This is a must have set. It’s an inspiring set of stamps and there are dies!

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Christmas Stockings & Mittens
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Christmas Stockings & Mitten Dies

Now, I could have made another card with this inspiring set, but I decided to make some matching tags.

I had to cut into a piece of the Craft Consortium Tartan pad. I am so in love with all the patterns.
Here’s a little peek at the inside.

For these I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Christmas Stockings & Mittens
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Christmas Stockings & Mitten Dies

~With Gratitude~

Good evening!

I’m back with another new release from Stamp Simply. These fall colors just make me all warm inside. Fall is definitely my favorite season. I was born in the fall. I love the changing leaves, cool crisp mornings, and warm apple cider.

I think this card represents the feeling of Fall. Colors and simple layout bring it all together.
For this card, I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Falling Leaves
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Harvest
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Harvest
Carta Bella – Welcome Autumn
Memento Tuxedo black ink
Divine Twine – Orange/White

other:
Orange enamel dot

~New Release Duo~

Can you believe it’s September 1st?! Not even four months til Christmas. Even at 4 months, I may never get Christmas cards done. Better start now! Have you started your cards/gifts for Christmas?

This week I’m sharing a couple of cards made with the new Autumn Silhouettes. Perfect for sympathy cards (which I need to many of these days)

First up:

I called this one SEASONS. Part of my favorite verses in the Bible. We had the verses put on the back of my mom’s funeral bookmark. It was a beautiful tribute to an amazing woman… 30 years ago, we lost her.

I used:

Stamp Simply Autumn Silhouettes

Bazzil Gold Mirrored cardstock

Versamark

other:

black and white cardstock

nuvo drops

Gold embossing powder

Next up is made with the same set and the Sympathy die cut was added.

They look pretty special next to each other and they were such a breeze to make!

Thanks for dropping by!

Tell me what kind of projects you’re working on now!

~Birthday Clusters~

I’m a little late today, but here I am! Crazy busy day here. One of those days where your phone rings constantly!

Today I’m sharing a simple birthday card. Lord knows I need several of them in the next few weeks. It nice to be able to use my Stamp Simply stamps and dies AND cover a birthday

I have always loved this series of stamps. Super easy to do a little fussy cutting and make your image POP.

I turned this one into a tent card. Super easy and something “different”.

I used:

Stamp Simply – floral clusters summer

Stamp Simply Dies–

Bundle –

Craft Conortium – Bloom & Wild

1/4″ silk ribbon – light blue

other:

Novu drops

~Tea Time~

I image some of you might be wondering where I’ve been. I didn’t fall off the face of the earth, but I’ve sure felt like I did. My physical health is struggling. Too much to even go into.

My mental health is also struggling, but that’s a side effect of the physical health. I’ve started swimming and that helps both physical and mental.

I have had this set for quite awhile and just now got to get it inky! I think it would be a nice invitation to have tea/coffee with a friend.

I made a little pocket for the inside to hold a gift card, or just leave the little tag.

I used:

Stamp Simply – Coffee or Tea?   Coffee or Tea dies

Stamp Simply – Have a cup on us.  Have a cup on us dies

Echo Park – 6×6 – Coffee & Friends

OTHER:

I have 2 new grandsons due in early November and early December. Adding them to the 5 granddaughter…

7 Grands at Christmas!

And a note:

~O, Baby~

First off, I want to say that just because I made a boy card, doesn’t mean our next grandchild is a boy. I was just tired of making baby girl cards.

Because of all the craziness around here, I needed a really quick card. Like 30 minutes … and it would have been quicker if i didn’t need a few minutes of dry time.

Why not let the pretty papers do the work for you! Many of the paper pads now have a page of sentiments, and such.

These super cute papers make it look like I did a lot of work, but I didn’t!

I used:

Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Welcome baby basics

Echo Park 6×6 – It’s A Boy
1/4″ ScortapeMidnight cardstock

Sunny Yellow cardstock

Thanks for stopping by!

~Congrats, Grad!~

We’re having some real nice Spring weather, and with Spring comes graduations. We only have one graduate in the family this year, so I customized the card with the school colors. They just happen to be my favorite colors, too! What were your school colors? Mine were Blue and Gold (Go Eagles!}

I love using the Bazzill mirrored cardstock. It typically does not show well in pictures, but this time it worked out well.

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Grad Sentiments
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Congrats Grad
Bundle – Grad
Versamark
Bazzill Red Mirrored cardstock

White embossing powder
1/4″ ScorTape
3M 1/8″ foam dimensional tape

Black Cardstock
White Gel Pen
Nuvo Drops

Today I took a little poetic license and created a hybrid card, using 2 sets and their respective dies.

I was happy to get the idea that’s been floating in my head for a couple days now. My youngest son and his family moved to a bigger place. With three little girls, their previous apartment was cramped. I made this for them.

I took the books image from A Man of Knowledge and with a little snip snip, they become birdhouses.

I wish I had the grass die that I’ve been wanting for years. But, with a little pair of scissors can do the job, too!

I used:

Stamp Simply – All Season Decor
Stamp Simply – A Man of Knowledge
Stamp Simply Dies -All Season Decor
Stamp Simply Dies – A Man of Knowledge
All Season Decor Bundle –
A Man of Knowledge Bundle –

It’s been a busy busy week and the only thing keeping me sane is creating. We are having a garage sale in June and I’m suppose to be sorting through stuff, but the minute I walk into the studio, I just want to make stuffs!

This week’s challenge was to make a patriotic card. I adore the patriotic sets from Stamp Simply. And I am in love with this wood paper by Echo Park (America).
I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – The Red, white and blue

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Patriotic Sentiments

Bundle
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Red White and blue Flag

Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Fishtail Sentiment Banners

Echo Park 6×6 – America

Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink

Lace – tea dyed

Enamel Dots

1/4″ ScorTape

3M dimensional foam tape

Copics

I have a ton of lace in my arsenal, but I wanted it a different color, so I put my lace in a tea bath and it came out perfect!
