~Twin Beauties~

We have another NEW release….. Poppies and Dahlias!

One can never have too many flower stamps, am I right?  I love to color, so these new floral stamps are just my style!

There was a time that I steered away from flowers because I didn’t know enough to color them realistically.  Then one day I declared that the flowers can be ANY color I want!

~*~*~

I used the same basic sketch for each card.  I switched minor details.  So, even though they are “Twins”, they have their own personality.

~*~*~

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps-Pretty Poppies
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Pretty Poppies
Bundle
Craft Consortium 6 x 6 – watercolors
Memento Tuxedo black dye ink
1/4″ ScorTape

Other:

As kids, the 4th of July started vacation time.  There was camping, road trips, and lots of family time!

Nowadays, we make one big picnic/party and have lots of friend and family celebrating with us.  As we grow as a family, we have to keep evolving so that more people attend.  Our 4th in 2019, we had a guest/cousin come in from N. Ireland!

~Sweet Friend~

A Study in Yellow.  It wasn’t too many years ago that I went to yellow as a last resort.  Now I adore yellow!  It’s so spring/summer.

Our weather has finally moved into the 70s most days.  We even had our first thunderstorm.  The weather coming east off the high peaks of the Rockies.  We’re in the foothills, so the storms go right over us most of the time.  Makes for some spectacular views!

Every now and again, Sharon (Stampsimply.com) throws a little challenge to the design team.  This week we’re charged with making pretty cards.

It’s been awhile since I’ve used ribbon and flowers on a card.  I love it.

I actually have a need for this card.  One of my dear aunts is having a kidney removed later this month.  There is some anxiety (mostly mine!)

~*~*~

This was one super easy card to make!  A run through my die cut machine and stamp the image.  The ribbon treatment is courtesy of the Bow Easy!

~*~*~

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Words of Encouragement

So much good happening this month.  First of all, the new STAMP SIMPLY is open!  This was quite a while in the making, so we need to congratulate Sharon on a job well done!

Birthdays.  We have a dozen birthdays this month.  I have some more good news, but can’t share that just yet.  Stay tuned!

It’s that time of year!  Graduates everywhere.  We actually have no graduates this year, so I made a grad card in the local High School’s colors.

Here’s a funny for you… my graduating class MISSED the 40th anniversary and now are having a 42nd anniversary event next year.  Definitely NO math geniuses in my grad class! ha!

My husband and I had our first dose of CoVid vaccine on Friday.  I woke up Friday with a really sore arm.  I woke on Sunday feeling like a truck ran over me.  It is getting better as the day goes by.

~*~*~

I LOVE the Bazzill mirrored cardstock.  The only problem is getting a good picture.  Since the paper is mirrored, it reflects every thing around it.  Usually a little natural light helps, but it’s been gloomy as heck.

~*~*~

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Scripture for Graduation & Beyond
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Graduation Sentiments
Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth Premium white cardstock
Bazzill Gold Mirrored cardstock
Cheery Lynn Designs – Graduation Set
1/4″ ScorTape
Thermoweb 3D 1/4″ foam squares

other:
Eggplant cardstock
Chipped Sapphire ink
Nuvo Drops – Bright Gold

~One Cup at a Time~

I was more than happy to make a birthday card this week.  My dear daughter in law has a birthday coming in a few days and she’s a barista!  She’s currently on maternity leave after the birth of our last granddaughter, Remington (Remi) Mae.

I love all things coffee, anyway.  The newest die set so amazing!  You can customize this coffee cup in so many ways.  I was a bit apprehensive with all the dies, but it was really easy to glam it up!

I’ll be holed up in the studio this week, so check back when you can!

~*~*~

I did stamp “Happy Birthday” on the inside.

~*~*~

Patriotism:
noun
the quality of being patriotic; devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country.
“a highly decorated officer of unquestionable integrity and patriotism”
We are a family of patriots.  It’s difficult to be patriotic during the turmoil in our country today.  There have been three mass shootings in the last 2 days.  It hurts the patriot’s heart.  If we can hate for no reason, why can’t we love just the same?
Today’s card is my tribute to America the Beautiful.  At one time I had my house completely decorated in Americana.  I loved it!
~*~*~
I used all scraps for this card.  That makes me happy!
~*~*~

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Old Glory

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Patriotic Sentiments
Brilliance Pigment Ink – Graphite Black
Sizzix – Thinits – Crochet

~On Your Baptism~

It’s Spring!  We’ve had temps in the 80s, but it didn’t last.  We’re back in the 40s now, with snowfall expected later this week.

Today I’m making a baptism card.  I love the vanilla/gold combo.   Since this set (Baptism, Dedication, Confirmation, Communion) is so versatile, Paring it with the cross from Easter is for Jesus set is perfect.

~*~*~

I added touches of gold to highlight areas.

~*~*~

With no sentiment on the outside, I picked the perfect sentiment for the inside.

~*~*~

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Baptism, dedication, confirmation, comm…
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Easter is for Jesus
Bazzill Gold Mirrored cardstock
Spellbinders – Divine Eloquence
Brilliance Pigment Ink – Graphite Black
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Easter is for Jesus
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Floral Cluster & Sprigs
1/4″ ScorTape
Thermoweb 3D 1/4″ foam squares

Other:
Crystal Drops
