~A Lumberjack Poinsettia~

When my mom was alive, her house would be full of poinsettias.  She would order them ahead of time and then we would take the van to pick them up… they would fill the entire back end!

One year, my hubby and I sent a poinsettia to my mother-in-law.  She kept it alive for over 5 years!  The minute I brought a poinsettia into OUR house, the leaves would immediately start to fall.  No fair!

So this week, we’re challenged to make a poinsettia card.  Twist my arm! 🙂

I looked around Splitcoaststampers’ resources and it brought back the “Kickstand Card”.  This was so easy!  The hardest part was waiting for the drops to dry.

I used:

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Floral Cluster-winter poinsettia
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Wonder of Christmas Sentiments
Echo Park 6 x 6 – A Lumberjack Christmas
Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth premium white cardstock
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Floral Cluster & Sprigs
Spellbinders – Standard Circles
Spellbinders – Scalloped borders
Memento Tuxedo black dye ink
1/4″ ScorTape
Thermaweb 3D 1/4″ foam squares

other:
Red cardstock
Copic
Crystal Drops

Thanks for stopping by!

Holly, This card is so gorgeous!! I love the contrast of the bright red poinsettia with the black n white checks!
