~For the Graduate~
April 29th, 2019 by Holly McMillen
I am officially old. This past week we received a graduation announcement for our great-niece. How the heck did that happen?!
Her school colors are patriotic blue/red. Since the graduation is at the end of May, these colors are perfect. Americana at it’s finest.
I made a tiny tassel with embroidery floss. Since I don’t have the same size pearls in all three colors, I colored a couple white pearls with copics.
Ok, so my initial thought was to make the cap look like it’s being thrown (as often happens at the end of the ceremony). I ran with the stars hoping that would read that way. What do you think?
I used:
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Graduation Sentiments
Authentique – 6 x 6 – Frontier
Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth Premium White Cardstock
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Fishtail Sentiment Banners
Cheery Lynn Designs – Dies – Graduation set
Spellbinders Nestabilities – Stars
Melissa Frances – Pearls – white **
1/4″ ScorTape
Thermoweb 3D 1/4″ foam squares
other:
Memento Danube Blue Dye Ink
** Copics (B69, R39, RV69)
Red embroidery floss
