~ The Comfort of Familiar Words ~
October 18th, 2015 by Holly McMillen
We did it. We survived, and thoroughly enjoyed, our son’s wedding. I can’t say enough good things about my new
daughter, or her family. They were all just so inviting and genuine. I will probably share some pictures here in
the next few days. I just need to see them all (and there are 100s) before I choose.
My husband and I were talking about scripture a few days ago. He was raised in the Catholic church and really
doesn’t remember reading much of the bible. When I asked him what his favorite verse is, he told me Psalm 23.
He was able to quote quite a bit of it. I asked him why it was his favorite and he told me that it was comforting.
He’s experienced a great deal of loss in his lifetime. It’s no wonder those words mean so much to him.
Here’s my tribute to him.
I used:
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps Deepest Sympathy
Kaisercraft Something Blue 6 x 6
Spellbinders Stargazer Lily dies
