~Longfellow Therapy~

Longfellow close up

I’m going to warn you now… I may get a little wordy today. It’s no secret that I love to work with paper. Whether I’m
making a card, a box, a gift… It’s truly therapeutic.

I rarely talk about my bipolar, but sometimes I feel the need. I think the hardest thing to get through to people who
are not enlightened, is that bipolar has no cure. It’s not a thing you get from too much of this or doing something
wrong. My brain is just different. It can actually be a blessing, as well as a curse. Even on my best days, however,
I feel different. Most people would never know. I’ve gotten pretty good at knowing when to isolate and when it’s ok
to socialize. Although, I’m horrible in social situations for the most part. Some people think that there’s a magic
pill. It couldn’t be farther from the truth.

So, to get to my point. Today, I let my creativity be just about therapy. I colored and took risks that I don’t
normally do. I had a good time. I enjoyed the process. I embraced the results.

Longfellow

I’m really in love with these crazy birds and the dies. They’re so fun to color with anything from pencils to markers.

Thanks for stopping by.
