~Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Store – Easter~

Hi Friends!

Time for another Ribbon Inspiration post!  This week we’re focusing on Easter.   If you’ve arrived here from Deb Saaranen’s blog, then you’re in the right spot.  If not, I suggest you start back on Sharon Johnson’s blog in order to find out how you can be eligible for today’s blog prize.

Easter is by and far my favorite day of the year.   Not only does it celebrate the gift of salvation, but it’s also a precursor to Spring!  Everything is so colorful.   I remember as a child how much love my mother put into finding the perfect Easter dresses for her and I.   I always felt so special in my new outfit!

    I love your card, Holly, and I simply adore the colors pulled from that paper pad. And as to childhood Easter outfits — I, too, have such strong memories. We always wore a new dress, probably a sweater, a HAT, and patent leather shoes with anklets. I think I even had a purse on occasion! And honestly, it is those childhood memories that make me always want to deck out my Easter cards with a bit of overkill in terms of ribbon, flowers, etc. I always have that memory of those hats and dresses in the back of my mind! LOL!!!

    Awesome card- the ribbon frames the cross so well and picks up on the color in it. The flowers in the bottom corner set off the sentiment beautifully. The bling adds a lovely finishing touch- amazing job.

    Holly, the colors of this are so rich and gorgeous together. Everything pulls from each other creating a masterpiece!     Love the way you let your ribbon flow freely around the card, it really does give it a nice spring air. Your colors are great, and your memories trigger many of my own. My mom made my dress and put my hair up in pig-tails with ribbons and a hat. Then she set us in front of the gazing ball in the garden and snapped our picture.
