Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps February New Release Blog Hop!  This month’s release is so exciting  – it was even released a week early as a surprise! Settle in and be prepared to be dazzled by the Design Divas!

My first sampling is from the new Special Friends Clear Stamp set

Some quick details…

Paired with My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found papers, I first stamped the image in black ink and then a second time without reinking the image (giving it the grayish look.  That way I could stamp the sentiment over the kite area.  I did color the kite and flags in faint colors which you can barely see.

My next sampling is from the new Butterfly Flourish Clear Stamp set

A few details….

I created a vellum box for the butterflies and “painted” them from the underside.   Then I added a small frame and popped another butterfly on top.   The ribbon is a copper sheer satin.   To create the ribbon framing, simply place small pieces of sticky tape ever inch or so along the trail of where you want the ribbon to lay.  Scrunch it or twist (as I’ve done here) and continue until you reach your end.  Very simple and elegant.

Be sure to make plans to join us for our new release party tonight; the fun takes place over in our member company forums on Splitcoaststampers. We’ll have great fellowship with crafty friends, challenges, and a prize drawing!  The excitement starts at 8:00 PM EST.

Now, take a look at what the other Design Divas have created to show off this amazing batch of February stamps:

Don’t forget, the entire February release is available in the store right now; you can order the stamps individually or at a discounted bundle price!  Head over to get yours today!
