~ Hallmark Knockoff ~
November 17th, 2011 by Holly McMillen
Hi Friends 🙂
Have you noticed that the big name card companies have started to imitate us? Â I’ve seen bows on Hallmark cards. Â I’ve seen sparkle and rhinestones. Â I’ve even seen matting!
Today I’m knocking off one of Hallmark’s cards. Â I received this thank you card from my nephew and his new wife a few days back and I really loved the colors and simplicity. Â It even had silver embossing!
Here’s my knockoff:
and here is a side by side comparison of the two cards:
Of course I added dimension and a ribbon. Â I also added a red layer to make the red center of the flowers make more sense to me.
Here are my details:
Stamps: There She Goes’ Flowers of Happiness, There She Goes’ Â Sentimental Thank You
Paper: Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, GP White, DCWV metallic mat pack (silver)
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: 3/8″ gingham ribbon, white 1/2 pearls colored with copic to match cherry cobbler, silver embossing powder, dimensionals, sticky tape
