~ The Action of Caring ~
July 6th, 2011 by Holly McMillen
Good day, friends!
Well, we have our guest in the house and thoroughly enjoying catching up on everything that has happened in my husband’s home town over the last few years. It’s great to have another female around, too! My boys are chomping at the bit for their Grandma to make her famous chocolate cake with chocolate peanut butter frosting :).
I did sneak a little stamping in this morning before we head out for the day. I loved the SCS sketch this morning, so I came up with this:
It’s kind of funny because what I started out doing was in no way near what I came up with.
I stamped the solid flower images on black card stock and embossed it in white. Then I colored the image with watercolor pencils, added a little darker red with a copic and finally added the tiny dots with a white gel pen.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Garden Shrub Set SKU:560
Colors: GP White, Regal Rose, Basic Black
Ink: Versamark, Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories: Colorbox wild flower stickers, black 1/2 pearls, Tim Holtz embossing folder, eyelet border punch, prisma pencils, white embossing powder, label nestie, corner rounder, dimensionals, sticky tape
