~ Simple Thanks ~

Hello, Friends.

Right off the bat, I’ll tell you I AM feeling better, just not 100% yet.  The tummy is still an issue.  I’m fairly certain it was just a intestinal bug.

Noah was showered with numerous graduation cards over the last week, so being the etiquette correct boy that I raised, he asked me to make him a bunch of Thank You cards.

I will share a couple I made over the last two days.

This first one is for his music teacher, Mr. Foreman.   Mr. Foreman has encouraged Noah greatly this past year.  He got my fairly low self esteemed son to dance and sing on stage!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden, JustRite Fancy Frames (Thank You) and flourish

Colors: GP White, Cosmo Cricket Wanted dp

Ink: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Webster Pages Designer Trim, sticky tape

You’ll notice that these are extremely simple cards.   We wanted to keep the embellishments and layers to a minimum so that he can just put them in a regular envelope and have no worries about extra postage or postage due.

My Deets:

Stamps:  Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden (birdcage and butterfly), JustRite You Inspire Me (thanks)

Colors: GP White, Old Olive, Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: 1/2″ Olive wrinkled ribbon, champagne 1/2 pearls, embossing folder, scalloped eyelet border punch, sticky tape

~*~*~*~*~*~

And last, but certainly not least… a peak at my new “baby”!!

It’s a Connecticut Pear Tree!

I’m so excited.   My men have planted roma tomatoes, banana pepper, red and yellow bell peppers, mint, 3 different melons and tons of flowers.

If you can see the area of dirt in the background lined with rock, well that will be filled with tulips to mirror my neighbor to the right.   The guys have also installed drip irrigation for all the plants.

We just got a quote for Pergo floors and a 12′ x 22′ deck with a pergola, too.   It’s going to be a busy summer!

~*~*~*~*~*~

Thanks so much for all the well wishes on my last post.   God bless you all!

Those are perfect cards for your son to give to his teachers, Holly.

So glad you are feeling better, my friend! I LOVE your photos — your tree looks beautiful and makes me happy! I just planted a redbud tree in my front yard. Was a little worried last night when the sirens went off and we had 60 mph winds but it survived!

Your cards are so beautiful. Always love what you do!

Welcome back, Holly! You’ve really come back with a fantabulous post today! Your TY cards are perfect .. just the right idea for easily-mailed yet wonderfully designed ways to express your thanks. And I’m just plain envious of the gardening … and that tree! Let the beauty & harvest grow & thrive!

I love how your garden is flanked by a white fence. It’s going to be a beauty when the plants are fully grown. We are moving to a home where we can have a veggie garden, so I am excited to see your garden.
Great cards that inspire me to be creative. Thanks for sharing.
