Hi friends 🙂

We’re having a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon here.   My husband wanted me to tell everyone what a versatile man he is…. yesterday he changed all his tires and today he did laundry, sewed a button on his shirt and sewed a hole in one of his favorite wool socks (all of this AFTER he went grocery shopping!).   What a guy, huh? LOL

I received some new goodies in the mail yesterday and could not wait to get them inky.   I laid awake last night thinking of this color combo (Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip and light teal).   Love me some chocolate chip card stock.   With the teal and light teal, it just has such a rich look, don’t you think?

I did something fun to the background behind the flower.   I first sponged white card stock with a little Tim Holtz distressing ink.  Then I took a porous sponge and dabbed versamark all over the piece.   I sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set it.   After it cooled, I sponged on Tim Holtz antique photo distressing ink all over.  Then I wiped it with a paper towel so the darker ink would come off the embossed area.   Last I dabbed a little chocolate chip ink on in various places and wiped it off again.   If you look real close, the resulting background has a corkboard effect.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers’ Mother Nature’s Gift and JustRite Stampers’ Happy Everything Tag kit from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Colors: GP White, Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal and Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society dp

Ink:  Momento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate chip, versamark, Tim Holtz distressing inks ~ antique photo and tea bag

Accessories: 3/8″ satin edged sheer ribbon, 1/2 pearls, florish punch, script embossing folder, circle nesties, sponge, clear embossing powder, JustRite nested frame dies, white gel pen, sticky tape and dimensinals

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you’ve enjoyed your visit!

Hugs~
