Hello friends!

I’m pretty sure that my fingers may fall off before I finish typing up this post.   I spent over 6 hours in the studio today.   Stamp, cut, glue, fold….   I wish I could share the project with you, but it’s a surprise (for Tuesday’s blog hop).   Oh, what the heck… I’ll give you a tease :).

Ok, one to other things….

This week’s Technique Challenge is a bit different.   I’m calling it “Getting Personal”.   The object is twofold.   First, we are to create a card/project that is personal (i.e. uses a person’s name, a picture, school colors, etc.) and the second part is to choose your favorite technique to showcase in your card/project.

Since Father’s Day is just around the corner, I decided to make my card a personal tribute to my hubster.   The image is one of the pictures I took a couple months ago for a scrapbook layout.   I had these really cool 7 gypsies film sheets that fit perfectly over the image.   I stamped the sentiment right on to that.

My technique is faux stone.   It is simply a piece of riding hood red card stock embossed with the mosaic embossing folder, then clear embossed.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:   There She Goes’ Dadisms (sentiment)

Colors: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, Creamy Caramel, GP White, dp

Ink: Versamark, Versafine Black Onyx

Accessories: Jute, wood stars, metallic red brads, mosaic embossing folder, utee, border punch, piercing

Thanks for stopping by!   I hope you’ll stop over to the challenge forums on Splitcoaststampers and join the challenge!  Blessings,

Holly
