~ Snow Wonderful ~

Hi Ya’ll 🙂

I am cold.  Cold to the bone.   We woke up this morning to sub zero temps outside (-9 to be exact!) and because it wasn’t already cold enough, we found the front door standing wide open.   My 17 yr old must have not latched it properly when he came in last night.   I had three blankets on me and was still chilled.   To top it off, DH said he (the 17 yr old) also left the freezer door open!   Oy!

I thought it fitting to make some Christmas cards while I was warming up.   My studio is in the upper southwest corner of the house.  It gets direct sunlight in the morning and it sure warms up fast even when the temps outside are so cold.

I have been wanting to play with this Tweet Winter Wishes set from Our Craft Lounge.   I have also wanted to make one of these snow globe cards from the resources section on Splitcoaststampers.   I figured while I was at it I may as well make a Sketch Challenge card, too :).

For this card, I pushed the limits of the sketch a bit.   I wanted to use that nestie borderability die so I made it work 🙂

Here are the deets:

Stamps:  Our Craft Lounge‘s Tweet Winter Wishes

Colors: GP White, Real Red, Garden Green

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Bashful Blue, Versafine White

Accessories: Ribbon (christmas plaid), 1/2 pearls, nestie borderability (snowflakes), oval punches, branch punch, snowflake punch, gold cord, stickles, dimensionals, sticky tape

Then I moved on to the snow globe…

This was so easy to do, following the directions on the resources page.    I loved the bow I did on the sketch challenge card, so I carried it over to the snowglobe 🙂   I get like that sometimes when I really like something!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Our Craft Lounge’s Tweet Winter Wishes

Colors: Bashful Blue, GP White, Real Red, Acetate, Paper Studio dps

Ink: Versafine white, Versafine Black Onyx, copics

Accessories: circle cutter, ribbon, button, stickles, white puff paint, embossing strip, dimensionals, sticky tape, gold cord

You should check out the Our Craft Lounge blog this week.   The girls are posting some adorable samples!   Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

    Hi Holly:)
Love your winter projects!! The plaid ribbon is so cozy and warm against the “cold” images.
You asked me about the piercing…I mostly use Spellbinders piercerabilities dies, but I know they have some yummy templates at the ODBd website. Check it out:9
    Have a great weekend!
    Yvonne.
