~ You Made My Day ~

Good day, friends!

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed…. I admit it.   First thing I did was stick a cup of coffee (leftover from yesterday) into the microwave.   When I pulled it out, it seemed warm, but not hot.   Then I put a tad of sugar in and it foamed up and over the sides of the cup…running down the cabinets and onto the floor.   Great.   So instead of drinking a cup of coffee first, I ended up mopping up a mess.

Then I sat down and logged on to SCS.   Now, I adore Judy (StampingQueenJAR).   She is one of my favorite people of all time.   But the colors she picked this morning messed with my head.

I sat down at my desk and fiddled around with the colors for a few minutes and pulled out a set from Our Craft Lounge.   I was about 2/3rds of the way done with that when it occured to me that I hated what it was looking like.   Back to the drawing board.

I took a deep breath and let it go.   I was trying too hard and wasn’t having any fun.   So I just pulled out SU!’s Fifth Avenue Floral and started playing.   I put no thought into what I was doing, I was just doing.    This is what resulted…

I stamped and colored the flowers and popped them on heavy frosted acetate.   Then I cut around them a bit and that’s it!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Stampin’ Up’s Fifth Avenue Floral

Colors: GP White, Night of Navy, Really Rust, Pretty in Pink, SU dps

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics, white gel pen for accents

Accessories: candy dots, ribbon, heavy frosted acetate, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!   I hope you have a blessed day!
