juliehrr-case.jpgGood Afternoon, ya’ll!

I cannot tell you how excited I was this morning when I saw that today’s featured stamper was non other than THE JulieHRR.   I have long admired Julie’s ability to use minimal stamps for maximum results.   My oh my… what a gallery.    We are so far on the extremes when it comes to style, but I absolutely LOVE what and how she does it.

It was kinda like an art student picking a picasso to case, as I perused her gallery.   I finally settled on this card.    I really struggled to case her as I wanted to do her card justice, and at the same time remain true to myself.

I stamped my Inkadinkadoo Gem Bird in black and did a little ‘out of the box’ thing with it… then I added some gemstones and matted the image.   I initially wanted to leave the white space plain, but something in me just couldn’t resist cuttlebugging that sucker! LOL

So, here are the deets on my JulieHRR case:

Stamps:  Inkadinkadoo Gem Bird and My Favorite Things’ sentiment

Colors:  GP White, Cool Caribbean, Making Memories dp

Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black

Accessories: ribbon, scissors, birds and swirls ef, rhinestones, dimensionals

~ Candy Hearts Box~

candy-hearts-box-closed.jpg Well, the “C” word is past me…. and I have moved on to a new holiday!    I was in Wal*Mart today looking around for things to use in my Valentine crafting and found these boxes of Candy Hearts.   Oh oh oh… I can do something with that, I said (almost out loud!).   So, here is what I did.

I first made a little holder for the inside of the box.   Then I measured the box and made a cover for the outside.   I adhered the holder to the inside and decorated the outside and voila.. a quick little giftie for my little sweethearts.    Now,  someone is going to ask me for dimensions, etc… and I am perfectly willing to do so if there is interest, but I tell ya, lately, I have done several of these quick tutorials and not one person has shown interest…. sooooooooooooo……. if you really want me to post the deets on how this was made, you just need to post a comment saying so and I will definitely do one.

Here is what the inside looks like:
