dazzling-snowflakes.jpg    Happy Sunday, Ya’ll

We can all mark our calendars again.   I was a good girl and slept through the night..lol.   I gotta tell ya, it felt great!   I did wake up early, but I feel very rested and rarin’  to go.

Today’s featured stamper is Anna (Annascreations on SCS).   She is new to me, but gazing at her gallery was a joy.   She does some awesome work.   I chose two cards to case and will likely do another, depending on how the day progresses.

My first one, based on Anna’s Butterfly Trio is Dazzling Snowflakes.   I first stamped my snowflakes in Bashful blue, then stamped over them in versamark and added dazzling diamonds.   Oh they looked so pretty, I could hardly bear to cut into them, but I wanted an off centered look.   I chose these colors because of this luscious ribbon from MFT that I just *had* to use again.   It is a polyester/nylon blend and I tell you, it is the softest shimmery stuff!

Here are the deets on card #1:

Stamps:  Lace Snowflakes (SU!); Punch pals-sentiment (SU!)

Colors: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, GP White, Rubber Soul winter solstice dp

Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black, Bashful Blue, Versamark

Accessories: ribbon, silver cord, dazzling diamonds, ticket corner punch, word window punch, MS lace punch, dimensionals

lets-get-together.jpg   My second card was based on Anna’s Teddy Bear.    I got to ‘kill two birds with one stone’ making this card.   I needed a card to send to a special person whom I do coffee with, plus I got to use my favorite There She Goes set AND do a FS card :).

I stamped the chocolate chip pieces with the eraser of a pencil in white craft ink.   I paper pieced the cup.   I only made a few minor adjustments to Anna’s card.   I changed colors, stamps and sentiment placement, plus I added a layer and some bugging.

I have to make a disclaimer now:   All cards made since the dazzling diamonds card will have some sparkle on them as my desk is covered in the stuff!

Here are the deets on #2:

Stamps:  There She Goes’ Let’s Get Together

Colors: GP White, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip

Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black, Craft white

Accessories:  scissors, ribbon, brads, scoring blade, dimensionals, swiss dots ef

Ok, that’s all for now, but check back as I may just do another 🙂

triptych-angel.jpg    Ok, so I’m working on a Christmas card order for my doctor.   She ordered 10 customized cards.   We went through her list and she wrote down the person’s characteristics.   This first one is for her neice, whom she calls her angel.

The angel was stamped and embossed in gold first, then I stamped and embossed the frame around her in black.  I colored her with copics and added liquid pearls and icicle stickles to her wings.  Not only do they have texture, but they really sparkle!

cracked-pink-snowflake.jpg  I flippin’  finally did it!   I made an SUO card!!

This is another for my Christmas card order.   As you may notice, I used very little embellishments on these as they are being mailed.   I only used one piece of dimensionals!   The snowflake was stamped in regal rose, then overstamped in versamark and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds.   I then inked the image up with versamark (thus ruining my pad because of the dazzling diamonds!) and embossed it with two layers of Utee.   I froze it for 15 minutes and cracked it.   It doesn’t look as good in the pic, but it has a really antique look to it.   This one is for Rosalie’s sister who is a non-traditional type.

I’m off to do some more 🙂

a-sassy-holiday.jpg  Yup, I am back with more.   Can you believe I have made all these cards with no dimensionals?!   I did use a 1/2 pearl on this one, but it is small and should not interfere with mailing.   I think it is really working my creative genes to do these flat cards.   My kids keep looking at them and asking where the brads and ribbon are… as that is what they are use to!

I pulled out this old set to make this one for Rosalie’s “Fashion Plate” sister.   I always loved this set.   I think they retired it way too soon!

lazy-snowman.jpg   One of my favorite all time images is this lazy snowman by Hampton Arts.   Rosalie’s  son is a lawyer, but he is the whimsical type.   I thought this little guy would be perfect for him.

My goal is to have all Christmas cards done and mailed by the end of this week.   I mailed my MIL’s birthday card last Monday to PA and as of yesterday, she still had not received it!   I also mailed a card Wednesday to my cousin in CA and she has not received hers either.   Something is amiss at the Loveland Post Office…. they must be hijacking my cards!

Ok, I am done for today.   I am going to do some blog hopping and then hit the hay.   It has been one heck of a day!

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

You are a card making machine, Holly!! Lovely job on all of them and well done scooping some business from your doctor LOL 🙂 She obviously took your “don’t hurt my arm too much with the scraping as it is my stamping arm” seriously!

Think the top on is my favorite, but they are all wonderful. Keep them coming 🙂
