TLC197 ~ Peace & Joy ~

peace-and-joy.jpg  Goooooooood Morning!!

I slept last night!!!  Wahoo!!!   I got 8 straight hours of uninterrupted sleep and I feel GREAT this morning! 🙂 🙂   Let’s mark our calendars…lol.

Before I talk about the card, I gotta tell you….. my aunt Marci is so psyched!    She has received,  in the last week, over 30 cards.    The messages inside are awesome and we have them lining the wall shelf so she can look at them every morning.    My undying thanks goes out to all my SCS friends.   This has been the BEST medicine for her.   Oh, and yes, Marisa, your card did arrive!

Now… this morning’s challenge was to brayer a piece of glossy cardstock with ink, then spritz it with simple green.  Not so hard.   I was not sure what I wanted to do with it after, though.   For some reason, I chose to brayer in Tempting Turquoise.     I just love TT!  I thought it would make a good Christmas card, so here is what I did.   I brayered and spritzed, then let it dry.  I then stamped tiny snowflakes in white craft.  Then I layered the bottom with torn white cardstock, colored and cut my images to layer in the snow and added a sentiment…… voila.  Done!

 Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Snowman (Hampton Arts); Penguin (SU’s Punch Pals); snowflakes (Hero Arts)

Colors:  GP White, White Glossy, Tempting Turquoise

Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black, Tempting Turquoise, White Craft, copics

Accessories: snowflake brads, ribbon, dimensionals, brayer, simple green, large snowflake punch, 1″ circle punch, scissors

beau-tea-ful.jpg    Yikes!

It occurred to me after I did this morning’s challenge that I need a birthday card for my MIL and I need it fast!   Her birthday was YESTERDAY!   My DH asked me last night if I had any cards I could send her and I said I did, but when I went through my stash, nothing appealed to me.   So!   Here we go again.   Another TLC card.

Here are the deets:

Stamps:  There She Goes (teapot and sentiment)

Colors:  Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, October Afternoon DP

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Regal Rose

Accessories: 1/2 pearls, ribbon, MS lace punch, oval punches, word window punch, small and medium scallop circle punches, photo corner punch, scissors, brayer, simple green.

TFL!~ and have a peaceful day!

Super cute card, Holly 🙂 Love that little snowman!!

SO glad you got some sleep as well!!! Breast feeding just about killed me as all my sleep was interrupted and far less than I need (about 7 – 8 hours a night). Even makeup wouldn’t cover up the dark circles under my eyes!!

Thrilled to hear my card arrived – thanks so much for mentioning it 🙂 I’ll have to pop a Christmas card in the mail as well so they keep coming.

    Have a great day. (((hugs)))
