CC191 ~ Embossed Butterfly Thanks ~
November 4th, 2008 by Holly McMillen
What a gorgeous day we are having here in Colorado. There is snow in the mountains, but down here in the valley it is a crisp 40ish degrees. I still can’t believe how beautiful it is here!
I adore the colors for today’s Color Challenge. Even though I am getting tired of the pinks, the combo with the green and red is soooooo pretty.
I made this for a special friend. I can’t say who she is quite yet, but she has done something very special for me and I am truly thankful and indebted to her. All I can say is the generosity of some people just knocks my socks off!
For todays card, I used Old Olive instead of Kiwi Kiss. I still haven’t gotten all my papers from storage, so I am a bit limited when it comes to colors. I am going to purchase some storage today and get all my paper over here, asap!
Here are the deets on my card:
Stamps: Butterfly by Technique Tuesday, Sentiment by My Favorite Things
Colors: Old Olive, Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink, Basic Grey Two Scoops DP
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Versamark, Copics
Accessories: 1/2 pearls, ribbon, dimensionals, slit punch, scalloped circle punch, swiss dots EF, ultra thick embossing powder
TFL and have a blessed day!
Lovely card, Holly. I’m sure your friend will love it.
Welcome to the Western side of the continent – I just LOVE the mountains and their majesty (and for their snowfall so I can ski LOL). They also remind me of how great our God truly is. I am constantly awed when I can see Mount Baker in WA state jutting out of the sky. It almost looks like someone painted it in the sky. May He touch you in a special way as you look at those fabulous Rockies!! Have a great day.
What a beautiful card Holly! So glad you’re back into the regular swing of stamping. 🙂
sweet card Holly and I love the colors!
