IC151 ~Hi Cupcake!~

hi-cupcake.jpg   Happy Saturday, Ya’ll 🙂

I woke up this morning, itching to stamp, so I jumped on SCS to see what today’s inspiration was.   I love the inspiration challenges as they give me a chance to stretch my brain, but I swear, if I see anymore pink for awhile, I’m going to gag..lol.   Now, I support breast cancer awareness and all, but all the pink this week is making me dizzy.   I chose this piece:

penneys1.jpg    What an adorable little girl’s room!!   Makes me wish I had continued to try for a girl……..NOT! LOL.   I have been spending alot of time with my cousin’s little girl, Beilynn and I gotta tell you, she can be a princess one minute and a holy terror the next.   I love her to pieces, but I know, God in his infinite wisdom, didn’t give me a girl for a very good reason!

I had to dig and dig through my boxes to come up with an acceptable image to go with  these colors… so I settle on  the cupcake set from Inkadinkadoo.   It had never been used, like so many of my neglected stamps.   Awwwwwwww.    One of these days, I’m going to challenge myself to use EVERY stamp I own.   What a concept 🙂

We’ve had a nasty flu roll through the house this week.. everyone but my DH and I (knock on wood) have gotten it.   I’m just thankful for 7up and tylenol.

We are going to do our ‘early’ voting this morning as the lines around here just keep getting longer and longer.   I’m happy to see so many getting out and voicing their opinion!

Here are the deets on my card:

Stamps: Cupcake set by Inkadinkadoo

Colors: Regal Rose, Green Galore, Pretty in Pink, Cool Caribbean, GP white

Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics

Accessories: heart brads, ribbon, scalloped oval punches, scissors, hole punch, slit punch, cuttlebug, dimensionals

TFL and have a blessed day~

That is quite the inspiration piece!! Great job pulling in the colours and the hearts. Like the double texture of the two EF you used and the ribbon on the scalloped oval top – another tip to tuck away. Glad you were able to use an “unloved” stamp LOL 🙂

Way to go on the voting!!! We just had our election up here and had a pathetic 52% or so turnout – VERY disappointing and maddening when people start complaining about who got in. Needless to say, if I’m in a fiesty mood, I may ask them if they voted and if they didn’t they may get an earful about zipping their lip as they had no part in the vote so they need to get out and vote next time. If the “they were going to win anyway” comes up, I love telling about the Florida recount you guys had a few years ago and how every vote counts!! Thanks for doing your part 🙂 We always watch your election as it has an effect on us up here in Canada.

Sorry to hear the flu has struck – hoping you and DH manage to miss it (wash those hands!) as it is never fun to get and especially hard when mom get sick.

Have a great day and thanks for posting and making my day 🙂
