here-for-you.jpg  Happy Wednesday, Ya’ll

I, unfortunately, had a reason to stamp today.   We received a call from a dear friend (My aunt Laura’s best friend) two nights ago advising us that her daughter in law has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.   She is only 38 yrs old.   Today she is having a double masectomy as the cancer has spread widely throughout her body.  So so sad.

It really hit us all hard as, you might already know, my mom passed from breast cancer 16 yrs ago.  Of her six sisters, four have been diagnosed with breast cancer of various stages.   I contacted a local doctor yesterday and have an appointment tomorrow to see him about getting my mammogram, etc.   It has been too long since my last one.

On a happier note,  I am starting to get settled in my new space.   I am going to buy some storage  containers/cabinets this weekend so I can organize all my stamps and papers.   It is still rather chaotic working out of boxes, but I get by.

What could be more appropriate for today’s card than MFT’s Think Pink set?   I had to dig through boxes for it, but I was determined :)…. I am putting the “What Cancer Can’t Do” poem on the inside.

Here are the deets on my card:

Stamps:  My Favorite Things’ Think Pink

Colors: Cool Caribbean, Regal Rose, GP White, Basic Grey Two Scoops

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics

Accessories: white brad, ribbon, dimensionals, white gel pen, word window punch, oval punch, circle punch, cuttlebug

TFL and have a blessed day!

I am SO sorry to hear about your aunt’s friend’s daughter. I had a friend that went through a masectomy and chemo last year…thankfully she caught it early and is now back at work and so far all test have been clear. I’m sure she will appreciate the card. Love the tied pink ribbon and the layed sentiment is always fabulous.

Good for you for booking your mammogram, especially with your family history! I just had mine and have always said I’d rather catch it sooner than later if I ever get it.

Glad you are getting settled in your space and thanks for persevering with the boxes — we are the lucky beneficiaries of that 🙂 Hope you can get your storage arranged to facilitate production of more beauties with more ease! Blessings.
