CC189 ~ I asked God~
October 21st, 2008 by Holly McMillen
I was determined to stamp a challenge card this morning, despite having to move furniture and get kids to work and school. I am a sucker for pink and brown, and add a little green and I go ga-ga!
I have to apologize for the bad photo though… still working on an area to take pictures and it was foggy this morning, so I could not go outside. Besides, it is going to start snowing soon, so I am already hinting to DH about an OTT light 🙂
Yesterday was DH’s first day of work and he loved it. They are building a million dollar stable and he said it is going to be gorgeous.. prettier than the house that goes along with it! I am going down there to take some pictures soon, so I will post a few for you all to see.
For today’s card, my aunt Marci requested a card she could send to her SIL… someone she holds near and dear to her heart. I chose to use my There She Goes Friendship Flowers set. Like so many of Jessica’s sets, this one is packed with goodies and the sentiments are awesome.
Here are the deets on my card:
Stamps: There She Goes Friendship Flowers
Colors: Chocolate Chip, Pretty In Pink, Old Olive, GP White and Basic Grey Two Scoops DP
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics
Accessories: heart brads, ribbon, ribbon punch, oval scallop punches, cuttlebug, dimensionals, scissors
TFL and have a blessed day!
Wonderful card, Holly! I love the plaid flower pot and all your layers–something you do so well! I’m so pleased to hear about your DH’s job–and I read that you got to meet Cindy! That must be great–I’m up here in Alaska so I don’t get to meet the other SCSer’s very often! It’s wonderful to see your lovely creations!
Awesome job on the challenge Holly! I love what you did with this set!!
You are definitely back in the saddle despite your limited stamping space and picture taking area!! Love this card, Holly, especially how you did the sentiment with the two scalloped oval punches — another idea to tuck into my “Toy ideas to be used” file 🙂
SO glad DH loved his first day at work!! Can’t wait to see the pictures of the stable they are building — maybe you can throw in a few of the future inhabitants of the fine abode for us too LOL.
Trusting you are feeling better now too. Thanks for posting, always makes my day 🙂
Additional note re: the OTT light….if horses can have nice places to live in, then so should cards LOL 🙂 Hoping you don’t have to wait till Christmas to get it!!
What a pretty card!
What a pretty card and a beautiful quote!!
I love the woven ribbon detail!!
btw–I laughed out loud that the spice rack got unpacked and in use!! tee heee
Wonderful layers and details – such a prett card! So glad to hear about Don’s job!
That should say *prettY*!
sweet card Holly!
