~It’s Friday again!~
April 18th, 2008 by Holly McMillen
Wow! I can’t believe it’s Friday again! The week has flown by. I’m still quite busy with gathering preparations, but took time out this morning to do a sketch for ya’ll (THSC10) and to cover a couple of SCS challenges as well.
My card is 4″ x 8″ and fits in a standard business envelope. I was looking for a way to use some smaller or longer stamps with this layout and of course, went for my Hambos again. Today’s LSC challenge is to make a tall or long card. I also used acrylic buttons to cover yesterday’s WT challenge.
Here’s the sketch:
As usual, this is open for interpretation! No wrong or right cards. Please use keyword THSC10 in your description so I can see it when you’re done, or link back here 🙂
Here’s the deets on my card:
Stamps: Snail and Happy Trails sentiment by Hambo Stamps (www.hambostamps.com)
Colors: Night of Navy, GP White, Pumpkin Pie, Bliss Blue
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics
Accessories: buttons, embroidery floss, ribbon, dimensionals, circle punch, designer label punch, oval punch

Now for a blast from my past….. I was looking up my high school’s reunion webpage the other day and found my senior picture!
We are planning our 30th high school reunion in 2010…. I better get busy if I want to look anything like I did back then! LOL
TFL and have a blessed day!!
LOOK AT YOU!! We wore those drapey things too!! I can’t believe how weird they are now and how different compared to what seniors do today! What fun too see this picture!
Your card is so darn cute and I love the sketch! Off to see what I can come up with!
Nice picture! How fun your reunion will be. I love you card, it is so fun….I’ll have to try that sketch too!

Glad you got a bit of a breather and were able to create a card for us to enjoy. Love the snails, and thanks for the sketch 🙂 Have it saved in my “Toy File” for later use – hopefully sooner versus later.
Wow, quite the lovely lady looking at us in her grad picture! First thing that comes to my mind when I see 2010 is that’s the year the Winter Olympics come here to Vancouver (being the avid sports fan that I am). However, when I did the math, I realized MY high school 30th will also be in 2010!! No snazzy picture of my senior year as Grad isn’t nearly as big up here in Canada as it is in the US (though it is certainly a bigger thing now than when I graduated). Boy, where does the time go??!!! Blessings.
Fun card Holly. You hit a few challenges with it. I will give the sketch a try later. Stacy
Love your card! Glad to see you came up from all your preparations to make one and post the sketch! I’ll have to try one using it! I was reading past posts, and am glad to hear dh is working! I’ve been thinking of you but have been very busy like you! I can’t wait for next week! It should be super fun!
P.S. Nice senior picture! This year is my 30th (no reunion happening), but I’m not brave enough to share my pic! (LOL) See you soon!

Great sketch Holly! I love the look of the sketch with the long card so I kept it for mine!

Great card Holly! As for the picture, was that before color film was invented? Tintype? Oh, I kid, I kid. Nice picture! 🙂
WOW 30 years! That is awesome!
I tagged you on my blog…check it out!
Love this card Holly! Your creations are always so clean and crisp. And the picture? You look ma-a-a-a-velous. My 30 year was several years ago and was the last reunion I’ve been to. DH and I graduated from the same high school in the same year so our reunions are pretty fun for both of us.
Better late than never huh… Here is mine Holly.
