~Worm Wishes~

worm-wishes.jpg  Good Sunday, to you!

Today is a particularly melancholy day for us.  We are seeing off a family that has been with our church for many years.  They are moving out of state and will be sorely missed.  So, I used today’s Featured Stamper challenge to make them a going away card.

Today’s Featured Stamper on SCS is BeckyTE.   I chose this gorgeous card of Becky’s because I loved the layout (my usual draw).  I kept her layout, changed colors, DP, image and sentiment.  I also moved the brads.

DH and DS are feeling much better this morning, but I’m afraid the days of downtime have left my mojo wanting.  I am trying to use up some of my lesser used colors (brocade blue, barely banana for example)… and some older DPs.  I have new colors and DPs coming this week, and promised myself I wouldn’t break them open until I clear out some of the old.

Here’s my deets:

Stamps:  Balloon Worm and worm wishes sentiment by Hambo Stamps (www.hambostamps.com)

Colors: Brocade Blue, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Certainly Celery, copics

Accessories: tiny brads, tiny grosgrain ribbon, circle punches, word window punch, designer label punch, stipple brush

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

Glad to hear everyone is starting to feel better. Sorry to hear you will be losing some friends. Never easy. Our next door neighbours, who were amazing friends and a third set of grandparents to our kids, moved two years ago. Luckily it is only to Vancouver Island, so it’s not miles away, but it just isn’t the same as talking over the fence.

Good thing is there is e-mail and with our amazing cards, you can the postman busy by letting them know you are thinking of them.

Good girl on using up old colours and DP 🙂 Your stamping area must be looking pretty spic and span by now, or do I need to ask that every once in a while still….said with a wink and an smile on my face :).

Forgot one thing…brains a bit ditsy after a nap. Just wanted to say thanks to you for your kitty info a while back. Not sure if you read the thread, but my DD got an “A” on her project and an honorable mention in the school Science Fair. She didn’t do an experiment bur rather a statistical project so didn’t qualify for the regional fair. She was thrilled, and so were we. In addition, the four finalists from our school ALL got gold medals at regionals!! We are very proud of them as a school :).
