~ Poinsettia In Pink ~

Hello friends 🙂

When I first started stamping, I steered clear of most flower stamps.   The reason being that I didn’t have a clue what most flowers were and what color they should be.   Roses were easy.  They could be just about any color.  Then one day it dawned on me that what I was doing was unfair to the flowers!   If you can imagine a California Poppy being  purple, then you could color it purple!

Now, I know that poinsettias come in a good variety of colors, but the red ones have always been my favorite.  They are so traditional and I like that.   But today I wanted my poinsettia to be pink.

Well, not entirely pink :).   I stamped the image three times and then I clear embossed each layer.  On the top layer, I tinted the leaved slightly pink and added pink rhinestones.

Here are my details:

Stamps: Rubbernecker Stamps’ Poinsettia SKU: 394-05

Paper: Pink Pirouette, GP White

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Versamark, copics

Accessories: Label Two Nestabilities, Swiss dots embossing folder, pink rhinestones, clear embossing powder, dimensionals, sticky tape

Here’s a side view:

I didn’t add a sentiment to this card yet.   I will add it later.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs!

Flowers can be any colour – said by one who has a huge collection of them. Let your imagination run wild and let the flower fit the card I say LOL! Love how you used the poinsettia on this one. Great card.

This is a beautiful card – I love the simplicity of it and the colors. Thanks too for showing the inside of the card, I’m pretty new to card making so it helps to see how the inside looks!

Gorgeous card. All flowers can be any color you like, they are always coming out with new colors anyway!
