~ Neighbors and Friends ~
December 24th, 2008 by Holly McMillen
I think today is a great day to celebrate friends and neighbors. I was driving home from the store last night and was in wonder at the beautifully lit streets and houses along the way.
We spent the evening at a neighbor’s house, sharing stories of Christmases past as well as what our traditions are for the holiday. I also shared a little love with the little girl, who is turning four on Friday. I made her this name frame. My very first! I want to make some more now… one for her brother (who was quite jealous!) and for my little cousin who would appreciate it so much.
So, to all my friends and neighbors, I wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, Happy Hanukkah, Happy “Whatever you celebrate”. I, personally, will sit with my children and remember the REAL reason for the season :).

For today’s Sketch Challenge, I decided to make a note card set and tote. I wanted something I could give as a quick gift after Christmas as there is always someone I have forgotten!
The little one sheet tote measures a generous 5 x 6 and can hold up to 6 note cards and envelopes. I have only made 4 cards for this one, but may just go back and do a couple more.
Here are the deets:
Stamps: Friendship Flowers by There She Goes
Colors: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pretty in Pink, GP White, Bella Rose dp
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics
Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimenisonals, sticky tape, HPH, scoring blade, ms butterfly punch, scissors, swiss dots ef
TFL and Have a very merry Christmas!!
[…] about Butterflies as of December 24, 2008 ~ Neighbors and Friends ~ – toyzhaven.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com 12/24/2008 [ name-frames-lelia.jpg] Good morning, […]
What a fun framed name – great job. Have a blessed Christmas celebrating Christ’s birthday with your family, Holly. Thanks for the wonderful work you post on your blog and for sharing yourself with us 🙂
I must go shovel snow yet again. We have 1 1/2 feet on the ground now and about another 10 inches fell last night — very unusual for us out here on the coast. Needless to say, the kids are beyond happy 🙂 Can’t wait to celebrate Christmas tonite (we are Christmas Eve people) even if our numbers will be down because of the snow and people not being able to travel (we don’t exactly have good snow removal here due to the infrequency of snow out this way). Regardless, we’ll have a wonderful time with family – the best part of it all.
Blessings and (((hugs))) to you, your family and Aunt Marci too.
Hi Holly! This set is adorable, and I love that desk stamp! Have to add it to the “list”! Hope you had a great holiday in CO!
