~ A Hambo Kind of Day ~
November 24th, 2008 by Holly McMillen
Well, today it begins. The family is starting to arrive from California, Texas and Maryland. One of those arriving today is my cousin, Christy, whom I have not seen since 1994. I am so looking forward to seeing her and meeting her gorgeous little girl, Kayla.
And with their arrival, the birthdays begin as well. Christy’s turning 33 today. Someone else (ahem) is having a birthday on Wednesday, then my aunt on Friday and my Mother – In – Law is on Sunday. That’s just the beginning. There are 8 more birthdays between Dec 1st and Dec 31st!
So, I got up this morning and headed to the dermatologist. Had a spot on my arm removed for biopsy. The doc was really cool, didn’t hurt me a bit and said he wasn’t overly concerned, but the pathology reports would be a week or so coming back. I have a wee little bandaid on my arm, but couldn’t get a note from him saying I can’t cook or clean! LOL
Ok, here are the deets on Christy’s birthday card:
Stamps: All Hambo (www.hambostamps.com)
Colors: Basic Gray, GP White, Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey Two Scoops
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics
Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, oval punches, circle punch, hole punch, MS lace punch, scissors (for paper piecing).

Now THAT is Tu-Tu Terrific!
TFL and have a blessed day!
Wow, that’s a lot of birthdays! At least you’re prolific at whipping up the cards on short notice! 😉
Love the paper-piecing on the hippo. Great card!
Holly this card is so elegant and feminine and sweet and fun all at the same time. Love that image! Hope all turns out negative on the biopsy. And what kind of doctor is it that would not give you a note? Cooking and cleaning can be extremely unhealthy activities!! lol Dang.
What a fun card 🙂 Loving the pink toenails on the hippo and her marvelously matching dress you paper pierced.
Looks like your family likes Spring and celebrates it accordingly wink, wink — and then celebrates nine months later in December LOL 🙂 That’s one pile of December birthdays!! Wish I’d know “ahem’s” was on Wednesday a bit earlier so I could have had a birthday card in the mail.
Trusting the biopsy is negative. Heck, next time ask the doc for a BIG bandage, one that wraps around your arm and looks the part. Great way to get the kids to help with the housework lol 🙂
Enjoy catching up with your cousin and the rest of the rellies as they arrive.
Love this card Holly!!! It’s so soft and delicate and yet fun and happy —- fabulous!! Hope your biopsy is fine and that the person who (ahem) has a birthday on Wednesday has a wonderful day!!! 😉
Enjoy catching up with long missed family!
Hehe! This is the cutest Holly! LOVE this image!!!
