~ Taking a Wee Break ~
August 19th, 2009 by Holly McMillen
Hello, Friends…
As much as I would love to be sharing new projects with you today, I am not able to. Life has thrown the family a nasty curveball. Many of you know of my Aunt Marci’s heroic battle with cancer. She has fought the good fight for many years now. A few days ago, she was told that a new mass between her liver and kidney is spreading. They have put her on aggressive chemotherapy and it is taking it’s toll on her already weakened body. She is unable to keep food down.
As of this morning, her doctor’s are wanting her to be admitted today for even more chemotherapy. While my prayers continue for her peace and comfort, I am scared. But, to her credit, this woman is an incredible fighter. If anyone can pull through such an ordeal, she will.
To that end, the family is rallying around her and we will do whatever we can to keep her comfortable. I only ask that those of you who are the praying kind, please please please put Marci in your prayers. We cannot go down without a fight!
I will not likely be posting for the rest of this week. Family must come first. I will let you all know what is going on, as soon as I know.
Thank you all so much for your friendship and support, while we make Marci our priority.
Hugs!
Holly

Sending mental hugs to you and your aunt. My mom died of cancer – horrible, horrible disease. She sounds like quite a fighter and I hope she wins this round. God bless.
