~Mother’s Day~
March 28th, 2022 by Holly McMillen
Mother’s Day cards are a difficult challenge. I lost my mom in 1992. My mother-in-law passed in 2014. So, I started thinking of other Mothers in my life. My mom was one of seven girls. Now, I look to some of those aunts for guidance when needed. Fortunately, I had an amazing example in my own mom, so I have the ability to be there when and if my daughter-in-laws need my opinion.
I love the mirrored Bazzill cardstock, but I always forget that it’s nearly impossible to get the pictures to show that.
Once again, I’ve gravitated to the Craft Consortium papers.
I got a kick out of this photo. You can see my forehead in the reflection!
I used:
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Thinking of You Rose
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps – Typewritten Year Round Greetings
Stamp Simply Steel Dies – Thinking of You Rose
Bundle
Bazzill Silver mirror cardstock
Craft Consortium – 6×6 – Bright Blooms
Thinlits – Holiday Greens
Thinlits – Crochet
1/4″ Mint Green Silk Ribbon
Kaisercraft Paper Blooms
Small butterfly punch
Novu drops
1/4″ ScorTape
3M Foam dimensional tape
I put a rose on the inside as a nod to my mom. Her middle name was Rose and roses were definitely her flower!
Thanks for stopping by!
