~Prayer Purse~
October 28th, 2019 by Holly McMillen
This week, the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store designers are on a quest of anything but a standard card. I always love when i’m challenged. Now this project is not new to me. I’ve made several of these little prayer purses over the last few years. Every time I share them I get a great response.
~*~*~
To start with, I used the basic instructions of the “Bag in a Box” tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.com. I adjust mine so that the box is 3.5″ x 1″ and 1″ deep. From there, you’ll adjust the bag portion to follow. Mine is 3.5′ wide by 3.5″ tall.
~*~*~
I create scripture cards for the inside (6 shown here, but big enough for 12-15), and added a journaling spot on the back of each card. Stamp Simply Ribbon Store has a wide variety of scripture sets.

I did some sponging and piercing on the brown cardstock to make it look a bit leathery. I’m in love with the Craft Consortium woodgrain paper (12 x 12 used here).

It’s a sturdy little purse and makes a great gift.
