~ To DP or not to DP…that is the question ~
January 4th, 2016 by Holly McMillen
I’m super excited to be part of Stamp Simply Ribbon Store’s Valentine Week! I have mentioned before that Valentines are my favorite type cards to make! Who doesn’t love love? 🙂
For today, I made two cards. The first is sans DP (designer paper). For this card, I used a sheet of adhesive and covered it with purple glitter. I sprayed it with hairspray to fix it. I went with a slightly off traditional color palate of pink, purple, black and white.
I used:
JustRite Clear Stamp – Hugs and Kisses
My Mind’s Eye Enamel Dots – Necessities Black Gray
Memento Full Size Dye Ink Pad – Tuxedo Black
1″ Tinsel Edge Sheer
Prima Perles – Rosarian
Tim Holtz Distress Glitter – Seedless Preserves
Scrapbook Adhesives-3L – Permanent Adhesive Sheets 4×6

Then for my second card I dug into my gorgeous stash of pretty papers! I love the ease of using designer paper. For this card I used the medallion from the Spellbinder’s Dainty Doilies set and embossed it in white as a focal for the background.
I used:
JustRite Clear Stamp – Hugs and Kisses
JustRite Clear Stamp – Dainty Doilies
Pebbles We Go Together 6×6
My Mind’s Eye Enamel Dots – Necessities Reds
VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad
Memento Full Size Dye Ink Pad – Tuxedo Black
1.25″ Silk Ribbon by May Arts – teal
1/4″ Silk Ribbon by May Arts – ivory
Prima Perles – Rosarian
