Hi Friends!

Welcome to today’s Ribbon Inspiration challenge brought to you by Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.   If you’ve arrived here from Michelle Woerner’s blog, then you’re in the right spot!  If not, I suggest you start back on Sharon Johnson’s blog in order to find out just how you can be eligible for the beautiful candy that you see above.

Today we are focusing on suede.

I chose to go masculine!   I have so many male birthdays coming up in the next couple months.

Since my boys (men, actually) are all very hard to buy for, I tend to give gift cards a lot!  So to go with my masculine card, I created a gift card sized box for presentation.

Here are my deets:

Card:

Stamps:  Wordsworth Poetry of the Earth

Colors: GP White, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Marina Mist, Cosmo Cricket Wanted dp

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz tea bag distressing ink

Accessories: 5/8″ double faced faux suede ribbon, square brads, buckle, square clip, sponge, sizzed baroque embossing folder, sticky tape, dimensionals

BOX:

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers’ Just Because Mini Sentiments

Colors: Really Rust, Marina Mist, Cosmo Cricket Wanted dp

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: 5/8″ brown double faced faux suede, label 8 nestabilities dies, buckle, sticky tape, scoring blade, dimensionals

~*~*~*~*~

Here are a couple individual shots:

Embossing designer paper that is thinner in nature creates a antiqued look as the white core shows through.

I created a prop on the inside of the box to allow the gift card to be easily accessed.

    Hi Holly~

What a fabulous card! I absolutely love the card with that wonderful quote, and the birds below! I really LOVE it, and know my husband would flip over it!

The embossing in the background adds so much to this card…and the suede…is well, incredible! I love the crisp look of it…just like the crispness of autumn!

Thank you for sharing such an amazing card!

Masculine cards and gift presentations are not easy for me. Your card and gift card box with ribbon yet too are rustic masculine with class. You have inspired me to run to my craft room and get creating some masculine cards!
