Welcome, Friends!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store design team is bringing you some product focus fun today!   We’re having fun with Rosettes!

If you’ve arrived here from Linda Duke’s blog, then you’re spot on!  If not, I suggest that you start back on Sharon Johnson’s blog so that you can get all the really fun details on how to win a bunch of rosettes!

Let’s get right to it!

I chose to work with the May Arts Sheer pink rosettes.   Not long ago, my aunt was cleaning out her pictures and she came across this picture of my mother when she was 6 months old.   My mother’s middle name was Rose!   Roses were her favorite thing.   She even named one of her precious pups “Rosie”.   I thought it would be great to create a small scrapbook page (it’s a 6.5 x 6.5).

Oh no, but I couldn’t stop there.   The rosettes are in a continuous loop on the sheer ribbon, but I found that you can cut them out individually, too.   It takes just a dab of glue to hold the end onto the back, but after that, you can put them anywhere.

So, I did this:

Don’t those just make you want to squeal?!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  NONE!  (the wording for the layout was computer generated)

Ink: Copic (ROOOO) used to add a tiny tint to Mom’s shirt

Papers:  Always Artichoke, Regal Rose, Kaisercraft English Rose Collection dp

Accessories: 1.5″ Sheer woven rosettes in pink, Prima Marketing Pearl Flourish, Fairytale Rose, pink 1/2 pearls, oval nestabilities, corner rounder, word window punch, pink embroidery floss, dimensionals, sticky tape.

Here is a combined view:

Now it’s time to send you off on your rosette journey.  Next stop:  Deb Saaranen!   Enjoy!!

Now, how about a little peek at the candy Sharon is offering up this week!
