Hi Friends!

I am going to admit… I am a control freak.   To feel helpless in a situation just makes me absolutely nuts.   The last few days have been challenging my nature as I have had no control over what was happening.   It also messes with my bipolar disorder, which I’ve been doing so well with.   It’s all going to be ok, though.   I’m learning to roll with the punches.

My friend Theresa hosted this weeks There She Goes’ challenge (it’s a sketch) and I had intentions of doing this on Sunday.  Well here it is Thursday and I’m just now getting it done.   So sorry Theresa!!

I decided to incorporate this week’s Ways To Use It challenge on SCS.  The challenge is to use vellum.   I bet you’ll have a tough time finding the vellum, but it’s there! haha!

Here’s my card using Theresa’s sketch:

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  There She Goes’ Sentimental Thank You

Colors: GP White, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Vellum, DCWV It’s A Boy

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: So Saffron 7/8″ grosgrain, Tiny Prima flowers, 1/2 pearls, Aleene’s tacky gel, swiss dots embossing folder, Corner rounder, sticky tape, dimensionals, circle nestabilities, MS branch punch, hole punch

~~The primas were colored with copics to coordinate with the designer paper.  I punched 1/4″ circles with a hole punch and put a curl to them to hold the 1/2 pearls.   This was accomplished with the gel glue.

Here’s a close up:

Thanks so much for stopping by!   I’ll be back tomorrow!!

Hugs!

I’m not sure if I’ve left you a comment before, but I’ve followed your blog for ages 🙂 I just had to pop over & say hi – I’m bipolar too, and I cannot STAND not having control of what’s going on. If only everyone would do what I want them to, I swear life would be peachy. Changing plans, lack of plans, changing minds…drives me crazy (crazier?). It’s funny, I’ve been stable for years, but with different challenges this year Mr. Bipolar has reared his head again. So, what I was trying to say is, you’re not the only one. I wish you luck 🙂
BTW, super-sneaky vellum there. It took me a minute to find it! All your work is lovely – I enjoy every visit!

You are the PRO at using vellum!! Every time you post something using it, I tell myself that I’m going to attempt to use it… I haven’t yet….but some day…
