~Bee*tween You and Me~

Good day, friends 🙂

Warning:  This post will contain whining.   Yes, I said it.   I was listening to a podcast on the Focus on the Family website yesterday about finding balance in life.   The speaker was noting that the people who live with NO stress in their life actually die younger than those who live with more stress.   Then there are those who live HIGH stress lives.   The crux of the podcast was finding ways of reducing stress to a moderate level.

For me, it seems like every day is a new “adventure” around here.   We just got through with Josh’s accident (well for the most part ~ they are still looking for a car) when my youngest hit his head at school and suffered a mild concussion.   Then a few days later, my granny (who is turning 94 next week) falls at a local restaurant and ends up in the hospital with a broken hip.   She had surgery on Monday morning and is really doing surprisingly well.   Then the hubster had a job interview yesterday and we have been praying over that, but he ends up doubled over in pain all day yesterday and today with lower intestinal cramps.   Of course, we have the boy’s JROTC inter-school drills this afternoon and Noah’s first jazz concert tonight.

So, I stamped. LOL    I needed the break from my ringing phone.   I’m pretty sure I’ll be on the go the rest of the afternoon, so I wanted at least a few minutes of ME time!

I made this for today’s Sketch Challenge on SCS:

I probably spent the most time hunting down some papers that would make me happy.   I have too many, ya know?

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Designs (Anna Wight- illustrator) Bee*Lieve in a Cure

Colors: Riding Hood Red, Buckaroo Blue, Brilliant Blue, DaisyD’s chasing butterflies dp

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics

Accessories: 3/8″ smoky blue grosgrain, red 1/2 pearls, oval nesties, oval punch, scalloped oval punch, sticky tape, glossy glaze, stardust stickles, swiss dots embossing folder

Thanks for stopping by :).   Sorry for the whining.   I just needed to get it off my chest!   Hope you enjoyed your visit!

Hugs,

Holly

I can see why you want to whine a bit and am glad you could vent in your post 🙂 You have had quite the few weeks….praying that things settle down a bit for you now and that hubby is okay! Focus has so many wonderful programs – love them to bits!

That little bee is adorable and what a fun ribbon treatment 🙂 Hang in there, tomorrow is another day and you are never walking it alone!

Well, I love what your me time created Holly, it’s beautiful, so cheerful and fun.

And I’m praying that your stress level heads toward that way more moderate side lady!…

Wow…you have reason to be stressed, sweetie! Mother Teresa once said “I know God only gives us what we can handle. I just wish He wouldn’t trust me so much!”

Here’s hopin’ things turn around soon!

LOVE this cheerful card! That ribbon treatment is cool!
