Good morning, friends!

Lots to share today, so let’s get right to it.   Today marks the beginning of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.   As many of you already know, this is a issue near and dear to my heart.   I lost my mother to breast cancer 18 years ago.   Of her six sisters, five of them have been touched by breast cancer and one of those has been in her battle for over eight years now.

On to more craftier things!   A few weeks back, I received an e-mail from none other than THE Anna Wight (Sassy & Sweet notes), illustrator for Whipper Snapper Designs.   She extended to me an invitation to be a featured designer for her new sets in September/October.   Of course I jumped on it!   I adore Anna’s designs.   They are so me!

Today I am going to share with you one card from each of the three sets I am working with.  There are four sets released all together.

Since I led off with the breast cancer month reminder, I think it’s only fitting that I start with this set, BEE-lieve in a Cure.

I snicker every time I see that sentiment.   Save the BOO*BEES!!

And finally, from the new Happy Haunting set:

I probably had way too much fun with this chicken dressed as a mummy.   He’s too cute!!   I drew a little candy corn shape and traced it over and over along a snap line to create the candy corn border.  Even the little chicks nose is colored like candy corn :).

Oh my gosh, Holly! All three of these cards are so creative. Totally lovin’ the sentiment on the first. Too funny. The second card is so rich in color and detail. That witch image is great. And the third card… well the candy corn border is so fun as is the chick’s nose! lol What a cool ribbon treatment, too. WOW x 3!!!

Holly, These are just the cutest cards – so very well done. My favorite has to be the chicken mummy and candy corn – it just made me laugh out loud!!

I just now saw the “boo*bees” card! It is GREAT! My Mom died from breast cancer 30 years ago, at age 53. And I lost my Mother-in-law 3 years ago to it also. Plus it is in others in my family. I support these wonderful sets that encourage women to keep a close eye on their “boo*bees”. And it cracks me up, too…I love the phrases in Anna’s set!
Fantastic card. I love the black in there, too! 😀

All three cards are so adorable Holly. I lost my grandmother to breast cancer five years ago. The other two cards are too cute! Love the card with the witch, the colors are fabulous!

My dear mom-in-law and sis-in-law were both diagnosed with breast cancer within a few months about 10 years ago. My mil is a survivor but her sweet daughter lost her battle leaving three young children without a mom. Thank you for the awareness nudge and for creating such beautiful cards for inspiration. xoxo
