Hi Friends 🙂

The Our Craft Lounge designers have been busy little bees!   Over the next three days, the team is going to be showing sneak peeks of the 13 new sets that will be released on April 30th.   I’ve seen them all and I can tell you they are just too wonderful!

If you have arrived here today from Heather’s blog, then you are spot on!  If not, you might wish to start back on the Our Craft Lounge team blog to get the list of participants (which I will list below) and instructions.

Today I am sharing a peek of the new Patriotic Parade set.   I am pretty certain I am stuck in the 80s as I love Americana.  If I get the chance to make something in the genre, I do it. 🙂

The flag background was paper pieced.   I did a lot of sponging to get the effect that I was looking for.   Oh!  And I wanted to share something with you.   You know how I use candy dots alot?   Well, they come in a large array of colors, but I found that I wanted them in other colors, too.   I purchased a bunch of white ones and have been coloring them with my copics!  It works great!!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Our Craft Lounge Patriotic Parade

Colors: GP White, Riding Hood Red, Buckaroo Blue, Close to Cocoa

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics, Tim Holtz’ distressing ink (antique photo and tea bag)

Accessories: Jute, wooden star buttons, star punch, dimensionals, candy dots

This card is fabulous, Holly!!! Love the antique feel to it (need to get myself some of those Tim Holtz inks!!). The semi-circle of stars is fabulous along with the two at the bottom with the string through them. Wonderfully coloured image and angled sentiment. You do well in the 80s LOL ;D
