~ Do Me A Favor….~
April 4th, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Hello, Friends!
Well, I trust you all have had a wonderful Easter! He is Risen!! Yes, Indeed. We had such a feast here that I had a hard time dragging myself upstairs to stamp afterward.
I got to thinking about this week’s Technique Lovers Challenge. You know, now that spring is here, things like weddings, showers, parties, etc. are going to be popping up all over. If you are a paper crafter, I am sure that you are always thinking of ways to get your craft involved :). How about some party favors?!?
I found oodles of websites that had templates for favor boxes. I could have picked one of those, but nope. I decided to make a template of my own. I call it a Trapezoid favor purse box. You can find the template HERE.
My hubster suggested the polka dot one and I wanted to do a blue one, so I ended up doing two :).
For the lids, I just printed a copy of the template on white cardstock and just cut the rounded top and the fold out. Then I traced that onto the different color (pink) and designer paper and attached those with tacky tape.
Each favor box holds two of the Ghiradelli chocolates and several of the Bliss chocolates. The lids have a small velcro closure. The buckle is just decoration.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: JustRite 50pt uppercase Special Occasions font and wingdings
Colors: Regal Rose, GP White, Pacific Point, designer papers
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Ribbons, oval punches, scalloped oval punch, hole punch, tacky tape, dimensionals, black sharpie, template

Super cute Holly. Can you share with me what size/kind of ribbon you are using?
Thanks.
How fun! The teacher my kids had for Kindergarten has a shoe and purse fettish so this would be perfect LOL! Great samples too 😀
I can’t tell you how much I love that you used ‘trapezoid’ in your purse project – LOL! Hope things are going better for you and your family by now Holly. ~Meredith
