Good morning, Friends,

Please excuse my absence for the last few days.   Life has gotten in the way, once again.   It really felt foreign being in the studio this morning and maybe that shows a bit in my card.

Over the last few days I have had the “poor me, poor me” attitude.   I feel absolutely shameful for feeling that way, but it happens to the best of us, right?

When I saw Julia’s Ways to Use It challenge this morning, it pretty much snapped me out of it.   No matter what is going on in my life, there is always someone have a tougher go.   And while I would much rather think of them than me, it does not take away the fact that we’re having a rough go, too.

So, Julia’s challenge was to make a card for someone who needs uplifting AND mail it!   I am taking that challenge a step further and mailing ALL the cards I’ve made for different people over the last two weeks.   I am horrible about making cards and letting them sit for weeks!

Friendship is so important in these times.   It reminds us that we are not alone.

We appreciate you too Holly! I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much – I think it is normal and healthy to indulge in a little self pity every now and then, true there is always someone else worse off than you which provides perspective, but as long as you don’t dwell there too long, no real harm done right? All the lucky people who will be receiving your lovely cards soon – think how happy they will be because of you!! I love the bold striped DP and how you colored the sentiment panel too.

    This is beautiful, Holly!

You have had a very rough year, so it makes sense to be down a bit. But isn’t it great to have a card challenge perk you up??? Best therapy around!
