~ Savor The Roses ~
February 19th, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Happy Friday, friends!
What can I say? It has been one of THOSE weeks! I made a To Do list on Sunday for this week and it has haunted me all week. I think I am going to do away with the To Do lists from now on. Hard one, though, as I have OCD issues. I read a funny statement somewhere that goes “I am an OCD procrastinator. I’ll do it right, but I’ll do it later!”. I think that pretty well sums me up! haha!
Today, the OCL crew is starting a weekly sketch challenge. This week the sketch comes from a card by Broni Holcombe. This is the sketch:
You can find the sample used and information on the challenge on the OCL blog ~ The Lounge.
I used the new Vintage Roses set. I never was much of a vintage girl, but lately, it really is interesting me. I am working toward the vintage, though, as you can tell by this card. I wish I had roughed up some edges, but it is what it is.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge‘s Vintage Roses
Colors: Chocolate chip, metallic gold, Kay and Co dps, Very Vanilla, GP White
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Tim Holtz’ tea bag and old photo distressing ink, copics
Accessories: pink lace and Chocolate Twill (from Sharon Johnson’s Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), chocolate 1/2 pearls, oval punch, trinket, sponge, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by! If you have time, pop over to the OCL Blog ~ The Lounge and play along! I hope you have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Holly
Lovely job on the vintage look, Holly. You are mastering this look wonderfully well. Love the trinket and the lace you used. Well done:
