Good Morning, Girls!

Here’s something fun!

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Blop Hop sponsored by Skipping Stones Design. If you’ve just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived here from Deb Felt’s blog.

Along the way, the Skipping Stones Design Team (aka the Stamp Tramps) will have blog candy for you to enter. As an added bonus, there will also be 4 stamp sets (new stamp sets not yet released) will be hidden along the hop, but we’re not telling you where so be sure to leave some love as you hop!!! Make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! The winners will be announced on Friday January 8th at Skipping Stones Design.

When asked if I wanted to play along for this exciting blog hop, I couldn’t resist!   The Skipping Stones Design sets are just fabulous.   I picked the Healing Wings set to work with.

Having had several losses over the last few months, I thought about this idea for a ”memory box”.   The idea is to use the box to hold special notes and trinkets that remind you of someone you lost.

 skipping-stones-memory-box-view-1.jpg

I used the label 8 nesties to create the box top and bottom using that thick cardboard that backs a pack of designer paper.   I hesitate to call it chipboard, but it’s close.   I love that it is generally a shiny white.

The butterfly was stamped and colored on white and cut out.  Then I stamped it on vellum and colored the reverse with subtle color and cut the wings out.  They are connected together with a small piece of dimensional and the 1/2 pearls on the body hide the adhesive.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Skipping Stones Designs Healing Wings

Colors: GP White, Vellum, dps, white cardboard

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics

Accessories: Ribbon, 1/2 pearls, nesties, sticky tape, dimensionals
