~ Gratitude ~
June 6th, 2009 by Holly McMillen
Good Morning, Friends!
Can you believe it is the first weekend of June?! Not only that, but I have the house all to myself!! My DH took our youngest boy, Levi, fishing at Boyd Lake. Noah is off with a friend and his family at their summer cabin. It is soooooo quiet! It is going to be a warm day, too. I decided I would get my ”must dos” done before the heat sets in. Kitchen is clean, floors are swept and laundry is started.
Naturally, the next thing was stamping :). I have struggled with mojo lately. I think it is because of a slight medication change, but then again, it could be the stress of having my DH home 24/7. He does go back to work tomorrow, so he will be gone for a week! I know, I shouldn’t be so excited..lol. You know the old saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder”? Well it is true. I appreciate him much more when he comes home from these trips. I KNOW he appreciates me, more.
Anywho, this morning’s Inspiration Challenge comes from the website Design Dazzle. I spent a good 45 minutes or so just looking at the pictures. I wish my kids were little again, so I could decorate their rooms like those! But, being teenagers, they want posters and video games..period. I landed on this pic and was inspired. You’ll have to scroll down to the last picture in the series to see my true inspiration.
I used my Rainbow Sherbert designer paper for the first time. I adore the colors in this set of papers. I also used green galore, which I rarely use, but it has such a summery feel.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: There She Goes‘ Act of Kindness
Colors: Green Galore, Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, GP White, Rainbow Sherbert dp
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories: silver 1/2 pearls, candy dots, MS butterfly punch, cuttlebug ef, dimensionals
