I am laughing… seriously, I am.

Today is a humble lesson in how NOT to stamp.   You see, the color challenge was a bit late getting posted and I was getting antsy.   I had already picked out the image I wanted to use as I wanted to give you a *SNEAK PEEK* at this new My Favorite Things set (What A Girl Wants by Amanda Baird).

Well, I had this brilliant idea to make the image three dimensional with a window in it (because, well, it has a window! LOL).   So, I had the image stamped, cut out and ready to go when the colors were posted.  EEK!

Now, I adore Christine (ChristineCreations)… she is a fellow dirty dozen alum, but when I saw the colors, I should have quit right then and there.   I knew I had no So Saffron… it is on order.    I pulled out the other colors and decided to sub the SS with some barely banana… they are close, but a tad off.    I thought I had it made when I found this piece of Kay and Co. dp that had the proper colors in it.   Then I held it up to the bordering blue and discovered that what I *saw* as blue in the dp was really more green.

Did I quit? Noooooooooooo…….

Anywho, by the time I had finished coloring and assembling this LOL card, I was flabbergasted.   So, I just sat back and LOL’d myself silly.

Ok, don’t laugh.    The concept was a good one… the colors just ruined it. 🙂

This new set is adorable though.. gotta love her tiara and elbow length gloves.    Those sunglasses just make her sassy!
