~ A Class Act ~

Good morning!

Happy Valentine’s Day 🙂

I woke up so late this morning.  It felt awesome to sleep in.   I only got up once in the middle of the night and that was only to confirm that my son Noah, who had went out with friends last night, made it home safely.   My aunts are horrified that I don’t stay awake until my boys get home, but why should I stay up til 1am?   We have a ‘signal’ around here.   When the boys are going to be out late, they are to either put their keys on my desk when they get home, or if they don’t drive (such as Noah), they put one of their shoes on my studio chair.   That way I do not have to go down into the dark basement and wake everyone up looking to see who is home.

Anywho… so I woke up to the Inspiration Challenge on SCS this morning and I gotta tell you I nearly spewed my coffee looking at the inspiration pieces!    Stef picked a site called Artfull Bras Project.    Now, breast cancer is a cause near and dear to my heart…. you all know it is rampant in my family.   So, I decided to make a bra card.  You know the ones that are all over Splitcoaststampers.com.   I have always wanted to make one, but today was definitely the day!

I didn’t want to make just any bra card though… I wanted it to be classy.    I used some gorgeous Basic Grey papers and gave the bra some lace (Victoria’s Closet).    I didn’t take a picture of the inside as it has a personal message written to my dh :)…. but it is sporting a matching thong!

Here are my deets:

Stamps: NONE

Colors: Creamy Caramel cs, Basic Grey

Ink: NONE

Accessories: bra pattern from SCS, lace (Victoria’s Closet); Spare parts brad (pink with silver flower); MS oval 1/2 pearls, 1/2 pearl, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you all are spoiled by your sweethearts, today!

Great job on this card, Holly! Love the pearl necklace and the flower and lace. Classy is right. I’m sure your DH will love it 😉

I really need to make one of these as my DH saw one over my shoulder one day when I was viewing the gallery and commented on it – they are very eye catching, that’s for sure LOL! Maybe for his b-day as I already had a Valentine’s Day card made up for him.

Love your “sign” with the boys – what a wonderful idea. My problem is I sleep so deeply (sorry…) that I don’t know if I’d wake up till the next morning. However, now that I think about it, when my kids were small I was terrified I wouldn’t hear them cry at night and mystery of all mysteries I was very alert and could even hear them roll over in their crib sometimes lol! God provides in amazing ways – now that they are older I now sleep dead to the world again. So I’m sure I’ll become very sensitive again when they are teens and out and about. Thanks for the tip.

    Enjoy your Valentine’s Day 🙂
