Good morning 🙂

isaiah-41-10.jpg

It’s important for you to know that I am smiling right now.   I was nearly in tears earlier.   It is going to be one of THOSE days…. I can tell.

I started my day as I usually do…. got a cup of coffee and sat down with the laptop to check the daily challenge.   I woke up way too early (4:30am) after staying up nearly all night.    So… my state of mind was not what it should have been.

I pulled up the challenge and read the instruction … then I read the blog post with the detailed instructions.   My pea brain went “huh??”…  What the…… Ok, read it again.   After reading and looking over the tutorial pics,  I set out to make my mosaic piece.   Now, I actually tried my hand at stained glass a few years back ….. and I bombed.    Doing a mosaic piece small enough to fit on a card should be no problem, right? LOL… wrong!     This card officially kicked my arse.    I started with a piece of paper 4” square and covered it with sticky tape.. ok, no problem.   Then my OCD kicked in…. gotta have a pattern.    I fussed and fudged and finally settled on a pattern.    When I finished the pattern, it was crooked.   Alarms went off in my head.

Just then, my dh walked in the room and asked me why I was sighing and fussing so.   I told him about the challenge and my struggling.   He looked down on my desk and looked at the already stamped sentiment and said “You should take that advice”.   Oy!  He was right!   So, I let go.   I stopped fussing.   I grabbed my large circle punch… positioned my piece to where I wanted and when I punched.. voila!  Just what I was looking for to begin with.    Goes to show you… sometimes you need to just let go and let God.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  God’s Way by Stampin’ Up!

Colors:  Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black

Accessories: brads, MS embossing border punch, circle punch, large scalloped punch, bible doodad, scalloped rectangle nestie, sticky tape, black ep.

~~  My Spiritual Corner ~~

Ok, I need this today, after my struggles with this card.    I feel the urge to share.. 🙂

Music is a huge part of my spiritual life.    I adore good Christian rock… love old time hymns and get down right misty eyed when I hear my mom’s old southern Gospel on the radio.

Today I am going to share the words to my favorite song…. Prodigal by Casting Crowns….

It goes like this:

Living on my own, thinking for myself
Castles in the sand, temporary wealth
Walls are falling down, storms are closing in
Tears have filled my eyes, here I am again

And I’ve held out as long as I can
Now I’m letting go and holding out my hand

Daddy, here I am again
Will You take me back tonight
I went and made the world my friend
And it left me high and dry
I drag Your name back through the mud
That You first found me in
Not worthy to be called Your son
Is this to be my end
Daddy, here I am
Here I am again

Curse this morning sun
Drags me in to one more day
Of reaping what I’ve sown
Of living with my shame
Welcome to my world
And the life that I have made
Where one day you’re a prince
The next day you’re a slave

If you have never heard the song…. you can hear it here:

~ Prodigal by Casting Crowns ~

This song has very special meaning to me…. it depicts perfectly the ying-yang relationship I have with my Lord.   I am always trying to slip away and HE keeps pulling me back.    Thank you, God.   Just thank you…

Casting Crowns has such wonderful words to their songs. Haven’t heard this one before, but truly enjoyed it when I listened to it – thanks for the link. I love how God is always there, how all we need to do is reach out and take His hand, and how He loves us enough to not let us go. May you find deep love and peace and joy as you press towards Him, Holly 🙂

Loved your card – may be another MS border punch I need to get — some unsuspecting family member may be getting it for me for my birthday this month LOL.

Love your next desk accessory too! You have an amazing ability to create (I’m jealous!). Can’t wait to see the deets.

    Have a blessed day. (((hugs)))

I can understand about the OCD, that is partly why I didn’t even try the challenge today. Your card turned out great!

The words to that song are beautiful!

The weather improved a lot, this several day warm sun shine on the earth, let the thicker. Spring is a time of germinal, flowers and trees start to show a green, the same spring is Yang Melhado season, the weather gets warmer, the human body the new supersedes the old. Faster, this is you feel sleepy in spring.
