It is a GREAT Sunday!!

I have so much to share with you today… let’s get started.

I knew it would be a great day as soon as I opened my eyes this morning.   First off, I slept!   I slept hard, too… none of this sleep/wake/sleep stuff that I normally do.   I dare say I even dreamed!

I, as I usually do, logged onto SCS after getting my coffee to check the challenge.   Once again, Beth brings us an awesome gallery to peruse and play in…. this week is stamp_momma (Lori Craig).    You can view her gallery here.

I looked her gallery over several times before settling on this card to case.     I love the layout and she did an awesome job with all her stitching and whatnot.   Unfortunately, I do not stitch! LOL    I own a sewing machine, but don’t know how to use it…. anyone want to come teach me? Pretty please!

Anywho… here is my card:

I changed:

1) The color

2) The stamps

3) omitted brads

4) Added MS embossing border punch

5) slight alteration of layout

6) added sentiment as a tag

I decided to make my own designer paper as I did not have any that would go with my image/colors.   For the polka dot bg, all I did was use pencil erasers and ink (pretty in pink and basic black).   For the striped paper, I used a ruler, copic marker and black sharpie.

Colors: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black and GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics, black sharpie

Accessories: ribbons, dimensionals, ruler, MS embossing border punch, ruler, oval punch, circle punch, white gel pen for accents

~ My Spiritual Corner ~

What better day  than a Sunday to have a installation of “My Spiritual Corner”? 🙂    I have to tell you all about our new church.   I am soooooo excited to be a part of a large and growing congregation with awesome people and an attitude of JESUS.   Here is a link to our church site:      ~Redeemer Lutheran Church~

It has been too long since we have felt like we ‘belonged’ to a church.   After leaving our church home in Orchard Park, New York, we have floundered around here and there, but never felt at home.    Redeemer has a wonderfully talented praise team and Don (DH) is excited to get started with them.   They are just now starting a Saturday service and we (as a family) would love to help grow that vision.    Can you tell I am on a spiritual high?!   Weeeeee!!  God is good!!

Ok, I will leave you with that bit of news and move on… heehee…
