~ He Loves Me… ~

Happy Saturday 🙂

Well, I am catching a cold.   It was inevitable, though, as the youngest has been sneezing and coughing for a week now.   Now my eyes are watering and I have one of those sneezes that hangs in your nose but doesn’t quite do it’s thing… kwim?   I know.. gross! LOL    I just had to share that with you.

I have also felt the sting of the lack of sleep again.   I have spent the last 24 hours at my studio desk creating and I guess that kind of creativity is just a little too much for my brain.   I was up all night … walking the halls… stamping, etc.   No biggie though, as it is Saturday and I can catch a few Zzzzz’s while the boys are doing their thing.

This morning’s (or if you were up last night.. last night’s) Inspiration Challenge came from Pottery Barn Teen.   Wowzers, I found this site to be very inspiring.    I loved the color combos, especially and was inspired to do these three cards.

First up was  ” I {Heart} Eggs ” …

What a wacky combination of colors, but I really really like it!   I made my own designer paper with a copic marker, ruler and a black sharpie.   I also got to use this little Studio G set that I purchased back a couple weeks ago on my shopping trip with Cindy (Mothermark).

Deets:

Stamps:  Studio G  Series 10

Colors:  Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze, GP White, Basic Gray

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics, black sharpie

Accessories:  brads, ribbon, dimensionals, MS embossing scallop punch, ruler

Next up is ” He Loves Me… ”

This one was truly inspired.    It really doesn’t look anything like the piece that inspired me, but it is where I got my starting point!   I fell in love with this image by Sugar Nellie as soon as I saw it.   It was a image sent to me by Robin (donegal1) in a swap we did.   Isn’t she just precious?!    I was coloring this image at 2am this morning and that in itself was tough.   I could barely see the lines to color and was afraid I was messing it all up! 🙂

Here are the Deets:

Stamps:  Daisy by Surgar Nellie

Colors: Pacific Point, GP White, Kiwi Kiss, Paper Studio *Back to Basics* dp

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics, white gel pen

Accessories:  Ribbon, label 1 nesties, circle punch, word window punch, dimensionals

And lastly ~ I Choose You… ~

i-choose-you.jpg

Another cool image sent to me by Robin.   This one was a challenge to color as well as I *had* to use these colors and it was tricky getting them to work together on this small line image.    I found this old layout in my stash and wanted to use it again.   It was a Valentine I had done a couple years ago!

Deets:

Stamps:  Choose by Sugar Nellie

Colors: Riding Hood Red, Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics, white gel pen, black sharpie

Accessories:  candy dots, pink velvet ribbon, square scalloped punch, printer (for sentiment), dimensionals

*~*~*~*~*~*

Ok, that is enough for now.   I have more work to do, so I need to drink a cuppa and get back to it!

Hope you all have a marvelously blessed day!

TFL!~

Wonderful set of cards, Holly. I can see why you like the layout of the last card so much – it’s really neat! Should send it to Roxy to use as a SC.

I agree too that the little girl is simple adorable! Great job with the colouring – no worries there!

Hope you can catch up on some sleep today!
