Good Morning, Ya’ll!

Today’s Technique Lover’s Challenge was to create a card/project using the Faux Silk with a POP technique.   I had a little difficulty getting the result I was looking for, but here it is!    I love the ‘feel’ of the card, but it is rather difficult to photograph that!

My image was stamped on the tissue paper, allowed to dry and then crumpled and put aside.   I then restamped the image on white cardstock, colored the part I wanted popped and cut out.   I used a small piece of dimensional behind the flowerpot, just to give it a little more depth.

I love this Rosemary image by My Favorite Things!   I did not color the flowers as they are tiny and the pink shows through from the back.   If I had colored them, I was afraid the tissue paper would tear as it did with my first try :).

Here are the deets:

Stamps:  My Favorite Things’ Rosemary, Sentiment also by MFT.

Colors: Certainly Celery, Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey dp, GP white

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics, white gel pen

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, large circle punch, large scalloped circle punch, scissors, tissue paper, dots and flowers ef

It’s Chemo day!    Marci and I were up early getting ready for her to head to Denver.    I decided she needed a new type of Thank You for her chemo angels, nurses and staff.   So, we made these little acetate sour cream containers and put a bit of candy in them.   These are sooooo easy to make!   You can find the instructions for them here.

Marci is doing well…. keeping a good ‘tude.   She told me this morning to say HELLO and thank you to all her online friends and prayer warriors!    She is still receiving cards now and again and really loves to have them displayed.   It brings me much joy to see how much love my online friends have shared with us!

Off to play elf for awhile… I have tons of wrapping to do!

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

Wow, time and time again, you continue to amaze with me with your creativity in non-card items! The little candy containers are darling! And your card is so sweet and PINK! 🙂

Love those little treat boxes. What a wonderful idea. I’m sure they will be enjoyed by all 🙂

Hope the chemo doesn’t wipe her out too much so she can at least enjoy Christmas day without feeling too sick. Will have to send another card so she continues to get happy mail 🙂 Please give her a hug for me. Blessings.
