There She Goes ~Dollar Find Friday~
October 24th, 2008 by Holly McMillen
Hi Ya’ll!
Every Friday, a member of the There She Goes Design Team does an altered project based on a product found at a dollar store. Well, it’s my week 🙂
I found a little Dollar Store here in Loveland that had these cute little onsies for a buck and thought it would make a cute project.
Here are the supplies you will need:
Cardboard
Ink
Straight pins
Stamps
Step 1: Cut cardboard and fit it inside the onsie. Use straight pins to hold it in place. This stabilizes the material and prevents the ink from bleeding through. See pic below:
Step 2: Stamp images in layers.. set to dry with heat gun or just let it sit for awhile until your first layer is dry as shown in the pic below:
Step 3: After your first layer is dry and set, continue stamping on layers until complete.
Finished Onsie:
Now it is ready to be worn by your favorite little pumpkin 🙂
I used There She Goes Spooky Silhouettes stamp set for my example.
Enjoy!
TFL!~ and have a blessed day!
Darling little design!
Are you doing the new Hambo challenge?
Too cute and a wonderful way to personalize a onesie! What a wonderful shower gift idea — various ones stamped in different images. TFS and have a great day 🙂
I love what you did with this Holly, so cute!
This is soooo cute! Love the great Halloween scene. TFS!
I love this, I found out this week I am going to have a little niece or nephew (first one) and this would be great to make. What type of ink did you use; I wouldn’t want it to wash off after the first wearing.
