~Black-Eyed Susan~

black-eye-susan-ty.jpg   Good day!  Well, today was DH’s first day back to work.  I am celebrating by stamping all day :).  I love ribbon, so today’s TLC was right up my alley.

I have to tell you, it felt strange to stamp this morning without DH hovering over me.  I actually felt relaxed and enjoyed what I was doing.  I won’t tell him that though… lol.  I’m working on a new Hambo sample for later today….. can’t wait to get that done, but first, I must start cutting paper for our upcoming SCS gathering!  19 days and counting!!!  It will be my first gathering and I am so psyched to stamp with other awesome stampers.

Have you been to a SCS gathering yet?  If so, tell me about it!  I hear they are a blast 🙂

Here’s my deets on today’s TLC card:

Stamps: Image by Rubbernecker Stamps, sentiment from Fancy Flexible Phrases (SU!)

Colors: Basic Black, Yo Yo Yellow, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics

Accessories: brads, ribbons, dimensionals, scissors, oval punches

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

Hi Holly….. I love this card… please tell me how you did the flowers so they are outside the square…. I’m also happy for you that your dh is back to work…

So good to see you post again today and thrilled to hear DH got to go to work today. Work is such a huge part of men’s lives and their self esteem. Glad the break was a short one and he is back at it so quickly 🙂

Enjoy your day of stamping, and I will enjoy looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations. Oh, almost forgot, love your out of the box work on this card (that is what it’s called right?). Looks like I could just pick the bunch up and put them in a vase. Awesome job..

I love this card! I love the way the flowers are outside the frame… must try that technique. I must say, I have missed you the past little while. I always anticipate your creations, and lately I’ve been really excited when you post something new. Much of my inspiration has come from the cards you have made. I found you first on SS Reflections, and was thrilled when I found your blog. Needless to say, I am glad your hubby is back to work! lol

Holly I am so happy that your hubby is back to work. This card is lovely and I really like how you did your ribbon. I wish I could go to your gathering, you know I want to but just can’t manage it this time. I am sure it will be fabulous! I went to one the CNY one last fall and it was so much fun. I wish I could go to the one they have in May but I have a crop the same day.
